We track the published rules and policies of 32 futures prop firms and keep every version, so when a firm edits a rule we have the before and after in writing. Most of what changes is really nothing: a fixed typo, a clarified sentence, a word added here and there. But real changes stand out fast, and you can literally watch rules and policies tighten line by line. Payout terms creep, consistency thresholds drop, and prices quietly climb. It works the other way too: sometimes payouts improve and rules loosen, and when that happens it’s usually one of our Premier firms.
Most of the tightening shows up on the Unlisted side, firms we track but haven’t listed on PickAPropFirm.com. When a firm with a rough reputation starts gaining traction on rock-bottom prices, promoted by affiliates who would scam their own grandma for a commission, the discount usually costs you somewhere else, and that somewhere shows up here. If a plan looks too good to be true, it almost always is.

Payouts can be requested daily, Monday to Friday, on any balance above your starting balance. Requests made before 11am ET are processed the same trading day. While Sim Funded, stop trading for the day once you are $5,000 up and for the week once you are $10,000 up — passing $10,000 in total profit triggers a review for Live Brokerage, where the caps come off entirely.
Nothing is charged during this phase. Your subscription ended at the evaluation.
How the consistency rule works
The consistency rule keeps your biggest day in proportion to the rest of your trading. We compare your largest single profitable day against the sum of your profitable days. Losing days are left out of the calculation entirely — many firms divide by your net profit instead, which shrinks the number you are measured against and makes the rule harder to satisfy.
Here is a week counted both ways. Say you made $1,000 on Monday, $900 on Tuesday, lost $600 on Wednesday, then made $900 on Thursday and $600 on Friday:
- At BluSky we add up your profitable days: $1,000 + $900 + $900 + $600 = $3,400. Your biggest day of $1,000 is 29.4% of that — inside the 34% rule. ✅
- Counting net profit instead subtracts the losing day: $3,400 − $600 = $2,800. The same $1,000 day is now 35.7% — outside the same rule. ❌
The 300K works to a 21% rule instead, so the same week would need your profit spread across more days to comply.
Being out of consistency does not fail your account. It is checked when you request a payout or try to pass a phase, and you fix it by trading on — every additional profitable day grows the total you are measured against and brings your percentage down.
Resetting a Propel evaluation
Most traders do not pass first time. A reset clears the days traded, the balance and the rules by creating a fresh evaluation account, so you can try again without buying a new plan.

On Option 2 the daily loss limit stays active for the whole life of the account and is never lifted. The $25,000 Option 2 account is the exception: it has no daily loss limit.

Being Evaluated for Live
Lucid's risk team continuously monitors trader performance to determine when a trader is ready to transition to live futures trading.
Traders enter the live review pool when one or more of the following conditions are met:
- After receiving the final payout (Payout 5) on their Flex, Pro, or Direct plan
- After being paid out a significant amount of capital lifetime
- If they earn the Maximum Daily Profit for their LucidDaily account size
- If they have exceptional performance in sim funded
- If they have previously been moved live
Payout 5 represents the maximum payout level, not a guaranteed minimum for live eligibility. This maximum payout level applies to Flex, Pro, and Direct plans.
All live transitions occur at the discretion of the Lucid risk team.
Cashout

- Complete 20 trading days

Do all funded prop accounts move live at once?
Yes. All eligible funded prop accounts (with at least one payout) are moved when a trader transitions to live.
What happens to remaining simulated prop accounts?

Being Evaluated for Live
Lucid's risk team continuously monitors trader performance to determine when a trader is ready to transition to live futures trading.
Traders enter the live review pool when one or more of the following conditions are met:
- After receiving the final payout (Payout 5) on their Flex, Pro, or Direct plan
- After being paid out a significant amount of capital lifetime
- If they earn the Maximum Daily Profit for their LucidDaily account size
- If they have exceptional performance in sim funded
- If they have previously been moved live
Payout 5 represents the maximum payout level, not a guaranteed minimum for live eligibility. This maximum payout level applies to Flex, Pro, and Direct plans.
All live transitions occur at the discretion of the Lucid risk team.
Cashout

Locking the Live MLL
Lucid Live accounts use an End-of-Day Drawdown (EOD Drawdown) system to calculate the Max Loss Limit (MLL).
- At the end of each trading session, the system calculates the account’s highest closing balance.
- The MLL increases as the account balance grows, up to a defined point.
- Once a trader generates live profits equal to their starting live drawdown, the Max Loss Limit locks at $100 and no longer moves.
- If a trader requests a live payout before generating profits over the live drawdown, the Max Loss Limit locks to $100.

Locking the Live MLL
Lucid Live accounts use an End-of-Day Drawdown (EOD Drawdown) system to calculate the Max Loss Limit (MLL).
- At the end of each trading session, the system calculates the account’s highest closing balance.
- The MLL increases as the account balance grows, up to a defined point.
- Once a trader generates live profits equal to their starting live drawdown, the Max Loss Limit locks at $100 and no longer moves.
- If a trader requests a live payout before generating profits over the live drawdown, the Max Loss Limit locks to $100.

What Happens If I Trade After Requesting a Payout?
Funds are deducted from your account within a few minutes of approval.
If you trade after submitting but before approval and your balance drops into the buffer, the request may be denied. If your balance drops below the buffer after deduction, your account is at risk. You should trade as if the payout amount has already been removed from your balance.

There are no consistency requirements for live accounts. Once promoted from sim-funded to live, consistency rules no longer apply regardless of your account type (LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDirect).

- At the end of each trading session, the system calculates the account’s highest closing balance.
