Your morning update on futures prop firm rule changes, refreshed overnight.
We track the published rules and policies of 32 futures prop firms and keep every version, so when a firm edits a rule we have the before and after in writing. Most of what changes is really nothing: a fixed typo, a clarified sentence, a word added here and there. But real changes stand out fast, and you can literally watch rules and policies tighten line by line. Payout terms creep, consistency thresholds drop, and prices quietly climb. It works the other way too: sometimes payouts improve and rules loosen, and when that happens it’s usually one of our Premier firms.
Most of the tightening shows up on the Unlisted side, firms we track but haven’t listed on PickAPropFirm.com. When a firm with a rough reputation starts gaining traction on rock-bottom prices, promoted by affiliates who would scam their own grandma for a commission, the discount usually costs you somewhere else, and that somewhere shows up here. If a plan looks too good to be true, it almost always is.
Starred changes are the ones we think deserve your attention; the full feed below is everything we caught, right down to the typo fixes.
Treat this page like your morning paper. It updates overnight, so grab your coffee and see what changed. – Jmu (@jmutrades)
We split that step out and call it the Buffer Zone. It is where you build the balance that carries into your Sim Funded account, and it is deliberately gentler than the evaluation you just passed: a smaller target and no daily loss limit.
Account size | Profit target | Drawdown | Consistency | Largest single day
And if you fail it, you reset the Buffer Zone on its own. Your evaluation still stands — you never go back to the beginning. Resets are $250 each for the first three, then $300 for resets four to six, $350 for seven to nine, and so on. If your Buffer Zone had already passed into Sim Funded, a reset is $500. These are the Propel Buffer Zone reset prices.
Phase 3 — Sim Funded
Your account is still simulated, but the profits are real and you can withdraw them. There is no profit target here — the job is to keep trading well.
Payouts can be requested daily, Monday to Friday, on any balance above your starting balance. Requests made before 11am ET are processed the same trading day. While Sim Funded, stop trading for the day once you are $5,000 up and for the week once you are $10,000 up — passing $10,000 in total profit triggers a review for Live Brokerage, where the caps come off entirely.
Nothing is charged during this phase. Your subscription ended at the evaluation.
How the consistency rule works
The consistency rule keeps your biggest day in proportion to the rest of your trading. We compare your largest single profitable day against the sum of your profitable days. Losing days are left out of the calculation entirely — many firms divide by your net profit instead, which shrinks the number you are measured against and makes the rule harder to satisfy.
Here is a week counted both ways. Say you made $1,000 on Monday, $900 on Tuesday, lost $600 on Wednesday, then made $900 on Thursday and $600 on Friday:
- At BluSky we add up your profitable days: $1,000 + $900 + $900 + $600 = $3,400. Your biggest day of $1,000 is 29.4% of that — inside the 34% rule. ✅
- Counting net profit instead subtracts the losing day: $3,400 − $600 = $2,800. The same $1,000 day is now 35.7% — outside the same rule. ❌
The 300K works to a 21% rule instead, so the same week would need your profit spread across more days to comply.
Being out of consistency does not fail your account. It is checked when you request a payout or try to pass a phase, and you fix it by trading on — every additional profitable day grows the total you are measured against and brings your percentage down.

Both options share the same risk logic. Option 1 uses the trailing drawdown. Option 2 uses the end-of-day drawdown together with a daily loss limit and has no scaling plan.
On both options the drawdown follows the balance upward and then stops for good once it reaches the starting balance plus $100. From that point it is a fixed floor and no longer moves.
On Option 2 the daily loss limit stays active for the whole life of the account and is never lifted. The $25,000 Option 2 account is the exception: it has no daily loss limit.

PremierBluSky · Orbit Plans: Two Phases, Faster Payouts | BluSky Rules and Help CenterupdatedFuturesValues changed: $99 to $129, $109 to $199.Oct 15
Your drawdown stops moving once you have earned it back. The floor trails your closed daily profit dollar-for-dollar, and once your lifetime net profit matches your starting drawdown it locks permanently at your starting balance. From that point the account cannot fail below breakeven.
A 40% consistency rule applies while Sim Funded, and payouts become available every three trading days once your balance is above the threshold in the table above.
Say you made $1,400 on Monday, $900 on Tuesday, lost $900 on Wednesday, then made $900 on Thursday and $400 on Friday:
- At BluSky we add up your profitable days: $1,400 + $900 + $900 + $400 = $3,600. Your biggest day of $1,400 is 38.9% of that — inside the 40% rule. ✅
- Counting net profit instead subtracts the losing day: $3,600 − $900 = $2,700. The same $1,400 day jumps to 51.9% — outside the same rule. ❌
Being out of consistency does not fail your account. It is checked when you request a payout or try to pass a phase, and you fix it by trading on — every additional profitable day grows the total you are measured against and brings your percentage down.

Our team will review your performance and determine your next step.
If you’re not selected for transition at that time, you may be asked to continue trading your Sim Funded Account to build a longer track record before another review.

If your qualifying 50K account carries a $2,000 drawdown, your Live Brokerage account would begin with:
Starting Balance: $0
Live Drawdown: $2,000
Eligible Sim Funded Profit: Bonus Vault
Option 2: Take the Buyout
If you prefer not to move into Live Brokerage, you can choose a one-time cash buyout equal to 50% of your applicable drawdown.

Take the Buyout | $1,000 cash payout
After taking the buyout, a cooldown applies before you can return to Evaluations.
Section: Sim Funded Accounts After Your Brokerage Invitation
What Happens to Your Sim Funded Profits?
Under the new structure, your eligible Sim Funded profits are kept separate from your live trading balance through your Bonus Vault.
Your Bonus Vault:
- Does not become your live starting balance
- Is not used as live trading capital
- Remains separate from your Brokerage account balance
- Is paid according to the applicable Bonus Vault rules
Your Live Brokerage account itself begins at $0.
What If You Already Have a Brokerage Account?
If your Brokerage account was opened before October 1, 2026, nothing changes.
Your account continues under the structure it was originally opened with.
Under our previous Standard-plan structure, qualifying Sim Funded profits could be used when establishing your Live Brokerage starting balance.
Under our previous Orbit structure, your Brokerage account already began at $0, while eligible simulated profits were held in your Profit Vault.
The new $0 Brokerage + Bonus Vault structure applies to new Brokerage transitions going forward.
The Five-Day Transition Deadline
Your Live Brokerage invitation is valid for 5 calendar days.
Within that time, you’ll need to begin your required onboarding, which may include:
- Selecting your platform
- Completing account confirmations
- Signing Brokerage documents
- Beginning KYC
If you’re unable to complete the required steps within the five-day window, contact Support before your invitation expires.
− How Risk Works in Live Brokerage
− Live accounts use an end-of-day trailing drawdown unless your specific account settings state otherwise.
− Your drawdown floor moves upward based on closed daily profit rather than intraday fluctuations.
− Once your applicable trailing threshold has been reached, your drawdown may become fixed according to your Brokerage risk settings.
− Always refer to the limits displayed on your account for your current risk parameters.
Ramp-Up Period
When you first move live, we may place your account into a Ramp-Up Period.
This may include:
- Reduced contract limits
- A daily loss limit
- Additional Risk Team monitoring
- A required number of profitable trading days before limits are increased
A typical Ramp-Up Period may require 10 profitable trading days before you can request a Performance Review.
Once you’ve completed the applicable requirement, email:
[email protected]
We’ll review your performance and determine whether your limits can be adjusted.

Your Choice | What You Receive
Go Live | $0 starting balance + $2,000 live drawdown
Take the Buyout | $1,000 cash payout
After taking the buyout, a cooldown applies before you can return to Evaluations.
Section: Sim Funded Accounts After Your Brokerage Invitation
+ Sim Funded Accounts After Your Brokerage Invitation
+ Once your Live Brokerage invitation is issued, your active Sim Funded Accounts are considered to have completed the Sim Funded stage and are no longer eligible for further trading or payout activity.
+ Any trades placed or payout requests submitted on those Sim Funded Accounts after the Live Brokerage invitation has been issued will not be recognized and may be voided.
+ The transition becomes effective at the time the Live Brokerage invitation is issued.
+ From that point forward, discontinue all activity on your active Sim Funded Accounts and follow the instructions provided for your Live Brokerage transition.
Live Brokerage Rules
Example: 50K Account
If your qualifying 50K account carries a $2,000 drawdown, your Live Brokerage account would begin with:

Live Drawdown: $2,000
Eligible Sim Funded Profit: Bonus Vault
Option 2: Take the Buyout
If you prefer not to move into Live Brokerage, you can choose a one-time cash buyout equal to 50% of your applicable drawdown.
Using the same 50K example:
Your Choice | What You Receive
Go Live | $0 starting balance + $2,000 live drawdown
Take the Buyout | $1,000 cash payout
After taking the buyout, a cooldown applies before you can return to Evaluations.

Because your biggest day cannot exceed 50% of your profitable days, the target cannot be reached in fewer than 2 profitable days. Plan for at least that many.
Phase 2 — Buffer Zone
Most firms send you straight from an evaluation into a funded account that still carries a profit target, usually under a tougher drawdown. Miss it and everything is gone — the only way back is to buy a new evaluation and start again.
These are the Launch Buffer Zone reset prices.
Your biggest day of $1,000 is 29.4% of that — comfortably inside the 50% evaluation rule, and inside the 34% Buffer Zone rule too. ✅
- Counting net profit instead subtracts the losing day: $3,400 − $600 = $2,800. The same $1,000 day becomes 35.7% — which would put you outside the 34% Buffer Zone rule. ❌
Being out of consistency does not fail your account. It is checked when you request a payout or try to pass a phase, and you fix it by trading on — every additional profitable day grows the total you are measured against and brings your percentage down.
Resetting a Launch evaluation
Most traders do not pass first time. A reset clears the days traded, the balance and the rules by creating a fresh evaluation account, so you can try again without buying a new plan.
Account size | Launch evaluation reset

Here is a week counted both ways. Say you made $1,000 on Monday, $900 on Tuesday, lost $600 on Wednesday, then made $900 on Thursday and $600 on Friday:
- At BluSky we add up your profitable days: $1,000 + $900 + $900 + $600 = $3,400.
50K | $49
Because your biggest day cannot exceed 50% of your profitable days, the target cannot be reached in fewer than 2 profitable days. Plan for at least that many.
Phase 2 — Buffer Zone
Most firms send you straight from an evaluation into a funded account that still carries a profit target, usually under a tougher drawdown. Miss it and everything is gone — the only way back is to buy a new evaluation and start again.
These are the Launch Buffer Zone reset prices.

PremierBluSky · Live Brokerage: Qualifying, Transitioning and Trading a Live Account | BluSky Rules and Help CenterupdatedFutures100K account drawdown limit increased from $2,500 to $3,000; Vault payout now requires explicit support ticket submission and must occur before account closure or funds forfeit.Sep 17
- Deferred — you keep trading your Sim Funded account to build a longer track record and can request another review later. Note that the transferable amount stays capped at $10,000 per account no matter how much more you make in the meantime.
- Trader Development Program — a structured bridge for traders who have failed accounts before. You continue in a Sim Funded account while we review your performance, and the outcome may include a changed profit split, a static drawdown added to the account, or a live account with a mandatory daily loss limit.
Trading during a review forfeits the account. This is the single most common way traders lose an account they had already earned.
The five-day transition deadline
A Live Brokerage invitation is valid for 5 calendar days from the moment it is issued. Within that window you need to complete preliminary onboarding — choosing your platform, returning the initial confirmations, and signing the first document packet.
If you do not, we treat it as declining the transition, and the consequences are permanent: the source Sim Funded account is closed, the profit balance earmarked for the transfer is forfeited, and the brokerage setup is cancelled. If you are travelling or cannot act in time, tell support before the window closes.
What actually transfers
On standard plans, up to $10,000 per account, minus payouts already taken, is transferred as your live starting balance. With three Sim Funded accounts the ceiling is $30,000 per trader.
For example: you reach $10,500 in total profit and have already withdrawn $6,000. Your live account is provisioned with $4,000 — the $10,000 cap less the $6,000 you were paid.
On Orbit plans it works differently, because every Orbit trader is consolidated into a single centralised brokerage account. Your live account starts at $0.00 and your risk buffer is duplicated into the live environment instead. Your simulated gains are not lost — they move into the Profit Vault described below.
Orbit account | Live starting balance | Drawdown limit | Vault cap
50K | $0 | $2,000 | $10,000
Section: What actually transfers
− 100K | $0 | $2,500 | $12,500
150K | $0 | $4,500 | $15,000
200K | $0 | $3,000 | $12,500
No simulated capital is ever deposited into a live trading balance. That applies to every plan: what you traded in Sim Funded was simulated, and what funds the live account is BluSky capital allocated against your track record.
The Profit Vault (Orbit plans)
When an Orbit account passes its Brokerage Review, the simulated profit above your buffer is banked into a Profit Vault and paid back to you over time as cash bonuses.
The Vault balance is your Sim Funded balance minus your initial balance and your drawdown limit, capped at the figure in the table above. Anything beyond the cap is not vaulted.
Section: The Profit Vault (Orbit plans)
− How it pays out: for every $10,000 you earn and withdraw from live trading, BluSky adds a $1,000 cash bonus from your Vault. That continues until the Vault is empty; if less than $1,000 remains, the final bonus is simply whatever is left.
− Vault money is never deposited into your live trading balance — it is paid strictly as a bonus alongside your normal payouts. If you breach or blow the live account, whatever is left in the Vault is permanently forfeited.
How risk works on a live account
Live accounts use an end-of-day (EOD) trailing drawdown. Your drawdown floor moves up with your closed daily profit, dollar for dollar, and only ever updates on your balance at the close of the trading day — intraday swings do not move it.
The trail stops permanently once your lifetime net profit equals your starting drawdown limit. At that point the floor locks at your starting balance and never moves again. On a $2,500 drawdown, for instance, the floor stops trailing once you are $2,500 in net profit — from then on the whole cushion is yours to work with.
The Ramp-Up Period
The first days on a live account are statistically the most dangerous, so the Risk and Brokerage departments may place a new brokerage account into a Ramp-Up Period. It is not a punishment — it exists so a single bad session on day one cannot end an account you spent months earning.
- Reduced contract limits. If the account would normally allow 3 minis, you might start at 1.
- A mandatory daily loss limit of up to 50% of your starting balance. Hit it and the platform flattens your positions and stops you trading for the day.
- Ten profitable trading days. They do not need to be consecutive, but each has to close with positive net P&L to count.
Graduating is not automatic. Once you have your tenth profitable day, email the Risk Team at [email protected] to request a Performance Review; they will look at your consistency and, if approved, lift or adjust the daily loss limit and raise your contract limits.
The rules once you are live
There is only one way to fail a Live Brokerage account: fall below your minimum static balance. Unlike the evaluation, a funded account has a static floor — go under it and the account is closed.
Things that do not fail your account:
After
- Deferred — you keep trading your Sim Funded account to build a longer track record and can request another review later.
+ 100K | $0 | $3,000 | $12,500
+ How it pays out: For every $10,000 earned and withdrawn from live trading, BluSky adds an eligible $1,000 cash bonus from your Vault. That continues until the Vault is empty; if less than $1,000 remains, the final bonus is simply whatever balance is left.
+ Vault funds are never deposited directly into your live trading balance—they are disbursed strictly as a bonus alongside your approved payouts. To claim an eligible Vault bonus, you must explicitly submit a standard payout request by opening a support desk ticket or contacting support via email with your account number and requested payout amount.
+ All Vault bonus claims must be submitted while the associated Live Brokerage account is active and in good standing. Failure to request an eligible Vault bonus prior to account closure results in the immediate and permanent forfeiture of the bonus amount; requests submitted after an account has been closed are strictly ineligible. Furthermore, if you breach or blow the live account, any balance remaining in the Vault is permanently forfeited.

PremierBluSky · Propel Plans: Phases, Rules and Costs | BluSky Rules and Help CenterupdatedFuturesMinimum balance requirement reduced from $500-$1,000 to $100 across all account sizes.Sep 11
Resetting a Propel evaluation
Most traders do not pass first time. A reset clears the days traded, the balance and the rules by creating a fresh evaluation account, so you can try again without buying a new plan.

PremierBluSky · BluSky Affiliate Terms and Conditions | BluSky Rules and Help CenterupdatedFuturesProcessing timeline removed; new restriction added limiting affiliates to one active payout request at a time.Aug 24
BluSky's affiliate program operates on a 30-day rolling commission schedule to ensure accurate payment verification and account security.
How It Works
- 30-Day Maturity Period: Commissions become eligible for payout 30 days after your referred customer converts. This holding period helps account for refunds, chargebacks, and necessary payment verification.
- Available Balance: Once a commission reaches this 30-day maturity mark, it is automatically added to your available affiliate balance. Only matured commissions are eligible for withdrawal.
- Tracking: All commissions and your "due now" balance can be monitored automatically in real-time via your affiliate dashboard:
Minimum Payout Requirement
- Affiliates must accumulate a minimum of $250 in available (matured) commissions before requesting a payout.
- Commissions that are still within their 30-day holding period do not count toward this $250 payout minimum. Payout requests below $250 will not be processed.
Example Scenario
If a customer signs up using your affiliate link on January 1, the commission from that sale finishes its maturity period and becomes available for payout on approximately January 31.
Payout Processing & Methods
- Processing Timeline: Affiliate payouts commence processing on the first day of each month. Please allow until the 15th of the month for the payouts to be fully completed.
Section: Payout Processing & Methods
- Supported Methods: All payments are securely processed and sent via Rise or Gusto.
- Account Reviews: BluSky reserves the right to thoroughly review affiliate accounts for fraud, self-referrals, chargebacks, or general abuse of the affiliate program before issuing any payouts.
Please note:
"Affiliates are strictly prohibited from launching pay-per-click (PPC) advertising campaigns that directly compete with BluSky’s own paid search efforts. This includes, but is not limited, to bidding on brand-related or trademarked terms such as “BluSky,” “BluSky.pro,” or any close variations, misspellings, or exact match search terms that BluSky is actively bidding on through Google Ads or other search engines. This activity is prohibited unless approved in writing by the BluSky Marketing Team.
This policy exists to ensure a fair and effective advertising environment. When affiliates bid on the same branded keywords as BluSky, it creates unnecessary internal competition, inflates advertising costs, and undermines our direct marketing efforts. Additionally, it results in commission payouts for customer traffic that would likely have reached BluSky organically or through our own paid efforts, or should have been attributed to a content creator. Any violation of this policy may result in the withholding of commissions and termination from the affiliate program."

PremierBluSky · Launch Plans: Phases, Rules and Costs | BluSky Rules and Help CenterupdatedFuturesRemoved information about $500 reset cost when Buffer Zone passes into Sim Funded.Aug 19
We split that step out and call it the Buffer Zone. It is where you build the balance that carries into your Sim Funded account, and it is deliberately gentler than the evaluation you just passed: a smaller target and no daily loss limit.
Account size | Profit target | Drawdown | Consistency | Largest single day
− And if you fail it, you reset the Buffer Zone on its own. Your evaluation still stands — you never go back to the beginning. Resets are $250 each for the first three, then $300 for resets four to six, $350 for seven to nine, and so on. If your Buffer Zone had already passed into Sim Funded, a reset is $500. These are the Launch Buffer Zone reset prices.
Your biggest day of $1,000 is 29.4% of that — comfortably inside the 50% evaluation rule, and inside the 34% Buffer Zone rule too. ✅
