Your morning update on futures prop firm rule changes, refreshed overnight.
We track the published rules and policies of 32 futures prop firms and keep every version, so when a firm edits a rule we have the before and after in writing. Most of what changes is really nothing: a fixed typo, a clarified sentence, a word added here and there. But real changes stand out fast, and you can literally watch rules and policies tighten line by line. Payout terms creep, consistency thresholds drop, and prices quietly climb. It works the other way too: sometimes payouts improve and rules loosen, and when that happens it’s usually one of our Premier firms.
Most of the tightening shows up on the Unlisted side, firms we track but haven’t listed on PickAPropFirm.com. When a firm with a rough reputation starts gaining traction on rock-bottom prices, promoted by affiliates who would scam their own grandma for a commission, the discount usually costs you somewhere else, and that somewhere shows up here. If a plan looks too good to be true, it almost always is.
Starred changes are the ones we think deserve your attention; the full feed below is everything we caught, right down to the typo fixes.
Treat this page like your morning paper. It updates overnight, so grab your coffee and see what changed. – Jmu (@jmutrades)
We split that step out and call it the Buffer Zone. It is where you build the balance that carries into your Sim Funded account, and it is deliberately gentler than the evaluation you just passed: a smaller target and no daily loss limit.
Account size | Profit target | Drawdown | Consistency | Largest single day
And if you fail it, you reset the Buffer Zone on its own. Your evaluation still stands — you never go back to the beginning. Resets are $250 each for the first three, then $300 for resets four to six, $350 for seven to nine, and so on. If your Buffer Zone had already passed into Sim Funded, a reset is $500. These are the Propel Buffer Zone reset prices.
Phase 3 — Sim Funded
Your account is still simulated, but the profits are real and you can withdraw them. There is no profit target here — the job is to keep trading well.
Payouts can be requested daily, Monday to Friday, on any balance above your starting balance. Requests made before 11am ET are processed the same trading day. While Sim Funded, stop trading for the day once you are $5,000 up and for the week once you are $10,000 up — passing $10,000 in total profit triggers a review for Live Brokerage, where the caps come off entirely.
Nothing is charged during this phase. Your subscription ended at the evaluation.
How the consistency rule works
The consistency rule keeps your biggest day in proportion to the rest of your trading. We compare your largest single profitable day against the sum of your profitable days. Losing days are left out of the calculation entirely — many firms divide by your net profit instead, which shrinks the number you are measured against and makes the rule harder to satisfy.
Here is a week counted both ways. Say you made $1,000 on Monday, $900 on Tuesday, lost $600 on Wednesday, then made $900 on Thursday and $600 on Friday:
- At BluSky we add up your profitable days: $1,000 + $900 + $900 + $600 = $3,400. Your biggest day of $1,000 is 29.4% of that — inside the 34% rule. ✅
- Counting net profit instead subtracts the losing day: $3,400 − $600 = $2,800. The same $1,000 day is now 35.7% — outside the same rule. ❌
The 300K works to a 21% rule instead, so the same week would need your profit spread across more days to comply.
Being out of consistency does not fail your account. It is checked when you request a payout or try to pass a phase, and you fix it by trading on — every additional profitable day grows the total you are measured against and brings your percentage down.
Resetting a Propel evaluation

Both options share the same risk logic. Option 1 uses the trailing drawdown. Option 2 uses the end-of-day drawdown together with a daily loss limit and has no scaling plan.
On both options the drawdown follows the balance upward and then stops for good once it reaches the starting balance plus $100. From that point it is a fixed floor and no longer moves.
On Option 2 the daily loss limit stays active for the whole life of the account and is never lifted. The $25,000 Option 2 account is the exception: it has no daily loss limit.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · What is the daily progression rule on Daily Payouts? | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesRemoved the 60-second hold time requirement from Daily Payouts profit calculation; added navigation structure and related articles section.Oct 7
Section: What is the daily progression rule on Daily Payouts?
On Daily Payouts, at least 50% of every payout request must be profit generated since your last approved payout.
Turn that around and it is easier to use: you can request up to twice the profit you have made since your last payout. The minimum of $500 and the maximum for your account size still apply on top.
For your first payout there is nothing to compare against, so all profit above the buffer counts as new profit.
You may have met this rule before
If you hold an EOD, Flex or Instant Classic account created after 7 August 2026, this is the same new-profit requirement described in our recurring payouts article. The rule is identical. The only difference on Daily is the cadence: instead of applying between monthly payout windows, it applies between requests that can be 24 hours apart.
Why it exists
Without it, a trader could build a buffer from one or two large days and then keep withdrawing the maximum every 24 hours while making nothing new. The rule ties the pace of your payouts to the pace of your trading, which is the point of a daily payout product.
Worked examples on the Daily 50K Plan
Buffer $2,100, minimum balance to request $52,100, maximum per payout $1,000.
You made $700 since your last payout.
Twice $700 is $1,400. The 50K cap is $1,000. You can request up to $1,000.
You made $300 since your last payout.
Twice $300 is $600. That is above the $500 minimum, so you can request between $500 and $600.
You made $200 since your last payout.
Twice $200 is $400, which is below the $500 minimum. You cannot request yet. Keep trading until you have made at least $250 since your last payout.
You made nothing since your last payout, but your balance is $54,000.
There is no new profit, so nothing can be requested, however far above the buffer your balance sits. The extra profit stays in the account and supports your equity.
What happens if I do not meet it
The request is declined. This is not a breach, no profit is deducted under this rule, and your account stays open. Keep trading and submit a new request once at least half of the amount you want is profit made since your last payout.
This is not the same as the 60 second rule
Both are checked at payout request and both talk about 50% of profit since your last payout, so they are easy to confuse.
- The progression rule is about when the profit was made. At least half of your request has to come from profit made since the last payout.
- The 60 second rule is about how the profit was made. At least half of your net profit since the last payout has to come from trades held longer than 60 seconds. Failing this one also deducts the profit from trades held 60 seconds or less.
A request has to satisfy both.

Section: What are the requirements for recurring payouts?
After an approved payout, a new payout cycle begins on the same account. You must meet the applicable payout requirements again before submitting another request.
What resets after a payout?
- Your winning-days counter resets to zero.
- Your consistency calculation starts fresh for the new payout cycle.
For your first payout, consistency is calculated using the profit accumulated since the account was funded. For later payouts, it is calculated using the profit accumulated during the new cycle after your previous approved payout.
New-profit requirement from your second payout
For accounts created after August 7, 2026, the following rule applies from the second payout onward:
At least 50% of the amount you request must come from new profit generated since your previous approved payout.
For example, a $2,000 payout request requires at least $1,000 in new profit during the current payout cycle.
Without this rule, a trader could build a buffer from one or two large days and then keep withdrawing the maximum cap without making anything new.
Eligible example
You trade a 50K account to $54,000 and receive a first payout of $2,000, leaving the account at $52,000.
The new-profit requirement above applies to Daily Payouts, where it is called the daily progression rule: at least 50% of what you request must be profit made since your last approved payout.
The rest of this article does not apply to Daily Payouts. There is no winning day requirement and no consistency rule on the funded account, so nothing resets between payouts, and there are no payout windows. You can submit your next request 24 hours after the last one.
What happens if my recurring payout request is declined?
A declined request is not a breach and carries no account penalty. Continue trading and submit another request once all requirements are met, during an available payout window on the plans that use them.
Before requesting another payout
Make sure that:
- You have completed the required winning days.
- You meet the consistency rule that applies to your account.
- You meet the new-profit requirement if your account is subject to it.
- You have surpassed the previous equity high if you trade an Instant Classic account.
- Your request meets the minimum payout amount and applicable payout cap.
- You submit the request during an available payout window, unless you are on Daily Payouts, which has none.

+ What are the requirements for recurring payouts?
+ Updated 8 September 2026

Section: Signals, copy trading and automated strategies
Copying your own trades is allowed
You may copy your own trades across your own GFF accounts, and across accounts you hold elsewhere. If you buy a multi account bundle, copying your own trades into each of them is the intended use.
On Daily Payouts, copy trading is permitted between your own Daily Payouts accounts only.
Copying other people is not
Trading someone else's calls, whether from a signal provider, a trading group, a third party service, a copy or mirror service, or an EA that follows an external source, is a prohibited trading practice and may result in account termination.
There is a practical reason beyond fairness. When several unrelated traders follow the same source, their accounts hold matching positions at matching times. Where that is detected, every account and user involved may be suspended, including people who did not know others were following the same signals.
Automated strategies
On EOD, 1-Day-Pass-Plan, Flex and Instant Classic, your own automated strategies and EAs are allowed, as long as they reflect your own trading and do not exploit latency, data feed anomalies or system vulnerabilities.
Daily Payouts and Instant Lite are manual trading products. Bots, Expert Advisors and automated strategies are not permitted on either, and neither are grid, martingale or high frequency strategies.
If you are unsure whether a service or method is permitted, contact support before using it.

The geographic region of the IP you use to purchase a challenge on https://app.goatfundedfutures.com should match the region you log in and trade from while completing it.
What this means:
- The region used at purchase needs to align with where you actually trade.
- A notable mismatch between the two can trigger a security review.
- This is designed to prevent account sharing and block unauthorized access.
On a Funded Account
Once funded, the IP region you use to access the account needs to stay consistent.
Monitoring & Verification
If our Risk Management team detects a change in your IP region, we may contact you to confirm your identity. We might request proof of location, such as:
- A travel or boarding ticket
- A passport stamp
- A live video verification from your current location
This only ever happens to protect your account.
Travelling or Changing Location?
If you plan to trade from a different region:
- Notify the support team in advance.
Section: Travelling or Changing Location?
− - Failing to let us know first may result in:

Worth Knowing
- VPNs, proxies, or other location-masking tools may set off IP flags.

Section: Common Questions: Path to Live – Frequently Asked Questions
Will my live account have the same trading hours and instruments as sim?
Yes — the same CME-listed futures instruments and trading hours you are used to. The difference is that live runs on real-time market data and real execution rather than simulated fills.
Is there onboarding support when I transition?
Yes — you are supported the whole way. Your transition email includes a clear brief on what changes from sim to live, your live account specs, and a direct line to the risk team, while customer support is on hand for any questions about the account, payouts, or platform.
Do I get any documentation about my live account?
Yes. You will get written confirmation of your live account specifications (size, drawdown, payout policy, and terms), the Live Funded Trader Agreement, and access to your live account dashboard in the GFF portal.
Will GFF publicly announce when I'm on live?
Only if you want us to. We do not announce individual transitions, and any community shout-outs for top performers are entirely opt-in — your call.
Will my account be flagged differently in my dashboard?
Yes — live accounts stand out clearly from sim in your GFF dashboard. You will see account type, current balance, drawdown floor, withdrawable profit, and payout history all at a glance.
Who do I contact with questions?
For anything about your transition or live account, reach the risk team through your usual GFF support channel. For general payout, billing, or platform questions, customer support is your first stop as always.

How many live accounts can I have at once?
One. Your live account is a single consolidated account, built from the sum of your eligible sim account sizes at transition and capped at 150K. After a breach and re-qualification through a new challenge, you earn your next live account through the standard route — see Collection 6.
Can I trade sim and live at the same time?
Once you go live, you are all-in on live — which is the point. Every sim funded account with at least one payout is combined into your live account, and any without a payout is closed and refunded. From there, your GFF trading is live, on real capital.
Can my family member trade GFF if I'm on live?
Can my family member trade GFF?
No. Members of your immediate family or household may not hold or trade GFF accounts at the same time as you. This applies across every account type and phase — evaluation, funded, and live. Each GFF challenge and account is designed to assess and reward the independent performance of a single trader. When accounts are held by connected individuals, positions can be coordinated, mirrored, or placed in opposition across those accounts in a way that manufactures evaluation passes and payouts not earned through genuine individual trading — and that risk exists whether the balance is simulated or live. To keep the program fair for every trader and the model sustainable, we do not permit connected parties to participate concurrently. Accounts found to be held or traded by related parties in breach of this rule are closed without refund.
Are there country restrictions for live accounts?
This is still being finalised — we are confirming with our brokerages which countries are eligible for live, and the live list may differ from the sim list.
If it turns out a live account is not available in your jurisdiction when you qualify, we will let you know directly and talk through the options. Because the Path to Live is built around moving onto live, continuing together may depend on live being available to you.
Will I be charged anything to transition?
No — GFF fully sponsors your account and your transition, so moving onto live costs you nothing. It is our investment in you.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · Breach & Cooldown: What happens if a live account breaches? | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesAdded navigation elements, related articles section, and updated date to 7 August 2026; no changes to breach or cooldown policy content.Oct 7
Section: Breach & Cooldown: What happens if a live account breaches?
What counts as a breach on my live account?
A live account is breached if your cumulative losses reach the full drawdown amount from your starting balance. For example, on a 50K live account with a $2,000 static drawdown and a $0 starting balance, the breach floor sits at -$2,000. A breached account closes and does not reopen, but there is a clear route back (below).
What happens when my live account breaches?
Two things happen:
- Your live account closes.
- A 21-day cooldown begins, during which new activity is paused — no trading new GFF accounts, no new evaluations, and no payout requests during this window.
Why is the cooldown 21 days?
It is a short reset between cycles — a chance to step back and come back fresh and on form for your next account. The 21-day length is in line with the wider industry.
Can I get back to live after a breach?
Absolutely. Once your 21-day cooldown ends and you pass a new challenge, the risk team looks at your history with us and can place you straight back into live — so you are earning daily payouts again right away — or have you take a few sim payouts first. It is decided case by case, with a strong track record working in your favour.
How many times can I come back?
There is no fixed limit. After each cooldown you can take a new challenge, and the risk team sets your route back. As with any partnership, GFF retains the usual discretion set out in the Trader Agreement.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · Payouts on Live: How do live account payouts work? | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesAdded navigation metadata, timestamp, and section links including related articles about payout requirements and specifications.Oct 7
Section: Payouts on Live: How do live account payouts work?
When can I request my first live payout?
Right away. As soon as you are $500 in profit above your starting balance (i.e. a $500 live balance), you can request your first payout — with no winning-day requirement to wait through. There is no holding period: earn it, request it.
How often can I request payouts on live?
Daily. Live unlocks daily payouts — request one on any business day your balance is at least $500 above your starting balance. No weekly windows, no waiting your turn.
Is there a cap on how much I can withdraw on live?
No cap at all. The progressive per-payout caps you saw on sim (e.g. $1,500 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $2,750 on EOD 50K) are gone on live. Withdraw any amount above your starting balance, with just the $500 minimum — your upside is uncapped.
What's the minimum payout request?
$500 — the same minimum you know from sim. Since live starts at $0, you will just need $500 of profit on the account before your first withdrawal.
Will my live withdrawals be paid the same way as sim?
Yes — the same methods as sim. Payouts are processed through Rise, with crypto coming soon.
What happens if I don't withdraw?
It is entirely your call. Profit above your starting balance stays in your account until you decide to take it — there is no deadline, so you are free to let it build.

Section: Live Account Specifications: What are the live account specifications?
What's the starting balance of my live account?
Your live account starts at a $0 balance, with the trading capital fully provided by GFF. The size of your live account is based on your eligible sim accounts at transition — summed together, capped at 150K, GFF's largest live tier. Everything you earn above $0 is yours to withdraw, subject only to the minimum payout amount.
What are the contract limits on my live account?
Live accounts have their own contract limits, calibrated to your live drawdown rather than inherited from your sim plan. For now these are flat — no scaling, no tiers to track.
- 50K Live: 2 minis / 20 micros
- 100K Live: 3 minis / 30 micros
- 150K Live: 5 minis / 50 micros
What's the drawdown on my live account?
Your live account uses a static drawdown — a fixed loss limit that stays the same throughout the life of the account. You can lose up to the drawdown amount from your starting balance before your account is breached, and that buffer never closes in as your profits grow.
Static drawdown by account size:
- 50K: $2,000
- 100K: $3,000
Unlike the trailing drawdown on your challenge, the live floor does not move as you scale — every dollar of profit you make above your starting balance becomes additional cushion on top of your drawdown buffer. Your room to trade through normal swings grows alongside your account.
Is there a Daily Loss Limit (DLL) on live?
No — live accounts come with no Daily Loss Limit by default, giving you more room to trade your edge. If you would like one as a personal discipline tool, the risk team is happy to set it up on request.
Is there a consistency rule on live?
No — there is no consistency rule on live. You have already proven your consistency to get here, so live gives you the freedom to trade without it.
What's the profit split on my live account?
90/10 — you keep 90%, from the very first dollar of profit.
Live accounts follow the live account profit-sharing structure from day one. Any promotional payout structures or profit-sharing benefits available on simulated accounts do not apply to live accounts unless explicitly stated. Please refer to your Live Account Agreement for the applicable profit-sharing terms.
Can I scale my account size on live?
Not at launch yet — but a scaling plan is something we are actively exploring to reward sustained live performance down the line.
Are the trading rules the same as sim?
Largely, yes — which keeps things familiar. The news-trading buffer (two minutes around high-impact events) and the no overnight/weekend holding rule carry over from sim.

Section: Transition: What happens when I transition from sim to live?
What happens to my sim account when I transition?
When you move to live, your sim account closes and your live account opens with a clean slate. Any profit you have not yet withdrawn from the sim account at that moment does not carry across and is not paid out separately — but because GFF's structure rewards withdrawing as you earn, this is typically just the small buffer since your last payout. Live then more than makes up for it: no per-payout caps, daily withdrawals, and 90% of everything you make from the first dollar.
What if I have multiple sim accounts?
Great news if you trade more than one account: when the risk team approves you for transition, every sim account that has taken at least one approved payout is combined into a single live account with you. Your live account size is determined by summing your eligible sim account sizes, capped at 150K — GFF's largest live tier.
A few examples:
- 1× 50K → 50K Live ($2,000 drawdown)
- 2× 25K 1-Day-Pass-Plan → 50K Live ($2,000 drawdown)
- 3× 50K → 150K Live ($4,500 drawdown — sum capped at GFF max)
- 1× 100K + 1× 150K → 150K Live ($4,500 drawdown — sum capped)
Any sim account that has not taken a payout yet is simply closed and its account fee refunded to you.
Why do all my eligible accounts move to live together?
Because once you have proven yourself, we want your whole book on live — not just one account. Combining every eligible account into your live account means your full track record is rewarded at once, with your sim sizes adding together (up to the 150K cap) to give you the biggest possible live account to trade.
Can I decline the transition to live?
Transitioning is the whole point of the Path to Live, so once you are approved it is not something you opt out of. That is by design — it is the step up you have been earning: real GFF capital, daily uncapped payouts, and a 90% profit share.
Do I need to sign anything?
Yes — you will receive the GFF Live Funded Trader Agreement, which covers your live account. It is separate from the agreement that applied to your sim accounts.
Will I trade on the same platform?
In most cases, yes. If your data provider (CQG, dxFeed, Tickblaze) supports live when you qualify, you will carry on with the same platform you already know. If it does not support live just yet, you can either switch to another provider and its connected platforms or wait until we add yours.

Section: Eligibility: How do I qualify for a live account?
How do I qualify for a live account?
There is no public payout count, dollar target, or numeric milestone that "unlocks" a live account. Our risk team reviews every funded trader based on the full picture, meaning your consistency, how you manage drawdowns, your trading conduct, and your overall risk profile, and identifies when you are ready to move to live capital.
The best path to live is to trade like you intend to keep trading: consistent, disciplined, and risk-aware. Strong trading patterns are noticed regardless of payout count.
Why no public threshold?
We want traders focused on developing genuine consistency, not chasing a specific number. A public threshold encourages optimising for the threshold rather than for trading quality, which is the actual signal we look for. Removing it keeps the program aligned around the right thing: building the kind of track record we can trust on live capital.
What does the risk team look at?
The full picture of your trading with us, including but not limited to:
- Consistency of your trading and your results over time
- How you manage drawdowns and risk
- Trading conduct, for example how you handle news, position sizing, and behaviour around the daily reset
- Your overall risk profile and account history
There is no single metric that triggers transition. It is a holistic call by the risk team.
Can I ask the risk team to move me to live?
You do not need to. The team has full visibility into every funded account and reaches out directly when a trader is approved for transition. Asking for review does not move you up the queue, sustained consistency does.
Does my product type affect when I move to live?
The transition criterion is the same on every product (EOD, 1-Day-Pass-Plan, Instant Classic, Flex and Daily Payouts): risk team review of your trading history. What can differ in practice is how quickly different products build a track record, since 1-Day-Pass-Plan and Daily Payouts accounts move faster per cycle while EOD and Instant Funded need more winning days per payout, but the decision itself is product-agnostic.
Do account sizes have different criteria?
No, the criterion is the same across 25K, 50K, 100K, and 150K accounts. The size of your eventual live account scales with your sim portfolio (see What if I have multiple sim accounts? in Collection 3), but the path itself is consistent.
Will my existing payouts count?
Yes, your entire trading history with us is what the risk team reviews. Every approved payout, your consistency, how you have handled drawdowns, your overall risk profile. If you have already built a strong track record, the risk team has visibility into that and factors it into their review.
If you are approved for transition before the live environment is operational, your live account is reserved and your sim account is held until launch, see Collection 1 for how that works.
How will I know I'm being moved to live?
We will reach out to you directly by email the moment your account is approved. Your transition notice walks you through the size and structure of your live account, the Live Funded Trader Agreement, any remaining KYC, and step-by-step onboarding for the live platform.

The Path to Live is how GFF rewards its most consistent traders with the next step in their journey: a live brokerage account, trading real capital that we provide. Once you qualify, your simulated funded account becomes a live account, you trade with real GFF capital, and you keep 90% of every withdrawal — with the freedom to request payouts daily and no per-payout caps. It is the opportunity to turn proven sim performance into a long-term partnership trading live.
Who is the Path to Live for?
Every GFF trader. The opportunity is open across every product — EOD Challenge, 1-Day-Pass-Plan, Instant Classic, and Flex Challenge — and every account size. There is nothing extra to buy and nothing to sign up for: your place is earned purely through your trading on the sim funded account you already hold.
Why does GFF offer this?
Because we want to grow alongside the traders who prove they have a genuine edge. The Path to Live is how GFF backs its best performers with real capital on a live brokerage account — the structure used by the most established firms in the industry — and builds a lasting partnership rather than a one-off relationship. For you, that means trading real GFF capital, daily uncapped payouts, and a clear runway to scale your results over time.
When does live trading launch?
We are in the final stages of launching our live broker accounts, with the live environment expected to go live in Summer 2026 — so this is the perfect time to be building toward qualification.
What if I qualify before the live environment is ready?
Qualifying early is great news — it means you have already proven the consistency we are looking for, and your live account is being reserved for you. With the live environment launching imminently, the next step is getting you onto live capital rather than keeping you in the simulator.
If the risk team approves you for transition before the live environment opens, your sim accounts are held while your live account is prepared, so your transition is ready to go the moment we launch. During this short window, trading activity with GFF is paused across your accounts while we finalise your live setup.
As soon as the live environment is live, you will be transitioned and trading real GFF capital — with daily uncapped payouts and a 90% profit share waiting on the other side. You have earned your place; this simply makes sure you start where the real opportunity is.

Tick scalping refers to extremely short-term trading where positions are opened and closed within seconds to capture very small price movements, often using high position sizes.
Trading strategies that generate profits through unrealistic execution conditions such as rapid entries and exits within a few ticks may not reflect real market behaviour. In live trading environments, such activity is often affected by slippage, liquidity limitations, and partial fills, making these results difficult to replicate consistently.
This rule applies across all account types, including Flex and Daily Payouts, to ensure consistency and alignment with realistic market conditions. If such activity is identified, any profits generated from it may be reviewed and deducted.
Traders are encouraged to follow strategies that are sustainable and reflect genuine live-market execution.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · KYC & Identity Verification Policy | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesArticle establishing KYC identity verification requirements added to Payouts section, including prohibition on third-party verification and account name changes.Oct 7
To maintain a secure and trusted trading environment, all users must complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification through our platform using a valid government-issued document supported by our verification provider.
The KYC process must be completed only by the person who owns and operates the account. The individual appearing in the verification video/selfie must match the identity shown on the submitted documents. Verification cannot be completed by any third party.
A complete name change to a different individual is not allowed. Using documents that belong to another person or involving multiple individuals in the verification process is strictly prohibited. Verification may be reviewed again whenever an account requires updates, upgrades, or additional checks.
Note: These requirements are in line with general KYC and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) legal and compliance standards. If any of these rules are violated, we may decline the verification or ban the account, and access to our services will be restricted.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · Flex Challenge: specifications, rules and payouts | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesFlex Challenge prices reduced by 50% across all account sizes; profit targets, reset prices, activation fees and time limits remain unchanged.Oct 7
Two resets are available per challenge. You can hold up to 5 funded accounts.
How to pass
- Reach the profit target of 6% of your starting balance.
- Stay within the trading rules and loss limits below.
There is no minimum number of trading days. Once you pass, your evaluation period is reviewed, and your funded account is activated within 2 business days.
Maximum drawdown (end of day trailing)
Your maximum drawdown is the level your balance or equity cannot fall below. It trails up with your profits at the end of each trading day, and stops trailing once it reaches your starting balance. That lock applies in both the evaluation and funded phases.
Breaching it is a hard breach, which closes the account immediately.
Account Size | Max Drawdown
50K | $2,000 (4%)
100K | $3,000 (3%)
150K | $4,500 (3%)
Yes. No consistency rule on funded means we do not dictate how your profit is spread across your trading days. You can have big days and quiet days and still qualify for a payout. That freedom stays.
What it does not allow is deliberately loading nearly all of your profit into one day, then placing bare minimum trades purely to tick off the remaining winning days and unlock a withdrawal. That is not a strategy with an edge, it is gaming the payout requirement. It also closely mirrors external and cross account hedging, where one leg of a position is offset on a separate account or at another firm, so the losing side is sacrificed and the winning side is withdrawn here as profit. Where this is detected the payout may be withheld, the concentrated day's profit voided, and the account closed.
Example on a 50K account. A $2,500 day alongside $500 to $600 on your other days is exactly how Flex is meant to work, and you will be paid. A $2,500 day followed by aiming for the minimum qualifying profit of $250 on every other day, purely to complete your winning days, is what this rule addresses.
News trading
- Evaluation: no restrictions.
- Funded: a 2 minute buffer applies around high impact news events. You cannot open, close, or trigger pending orders within 2 minutes before or after a scheduled release. Positions opened before the window began may be held through the event.
Overnight and weekend holding
- Overnight holding is not permitted. Any position still open is closed automatically at 15:55 CT, five minutes before the session ends.
- Weekend holding is not permitted.
Inactivity
Place at least one trade every 7 days. If no trades are placed for 7 consecutive days the account is breached and closed, and the fee is not refunded. There is no time limit on passing the evaluation, but the account does need to stay active. If you are going to be away, tell support in advance.

Section: Why do you have a minimum holding time rule?
The minimum hold time is in place at GFF to ensure our evaluation reflects realistic trading conditions. During high-volatility periods, ultra-short trades on larger contract sizes can capture moves that wouldn't realistically be executable in a live funded environment due to slippage, partial fills, and liquidity constraints. The rule keeps the challenge aligned with what you'd actually experience when trading real capital.
The length differs by plan. EOD, 1-Day-Pass-Plan and Instant Classic use a 2 minute microscalping deduction. Flex uses a 1 minute rule checked at payout. Daily Payouts uses a 60 second rule checked at payout.
See holding time rules on each plan for how each one works.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · Are Giveaway accounts treated the same way as normal accounts? | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesArticle added breadcrumb navigation, update date, section organization, and five related article links with no substantive changes to account rules.Oct 7
Section: Are Giveaway accounts treated the same way as normal accounts?
Accounts won in giveaways follow the same path as purchased accounts, with one difference: the payout cap.
On a giveaway account, the maximum you can request per payout cycle is 2% of your starting balance. On a 50K that is $1,000, on a 100K it is $2,000.
The $500 minimum payout still applies, and every other rule for your plan is unchanged: the same profit target, drawdown, consistency rule, winning day requirement and payout windows.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · Holding time rules on each plan | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesAdded navigation elements, metadata timestamp, and related articles links to holding time rules article.Oct 7
There are four separate holding time rules at GFF, and they apply to different plans.
The microscalping rule, 2 minutes
Profit from any trade closed within 2 minutes of opening is not eligible, and is deducted from your account balance and from any payout calculation. The trade itself is not a breach. This applies to EOD, 1-Day-Pass-Plan and Instant Classic accounts, in both the evaluation and funded phases.
The 1 minute rule, Flex only
Flex accounts are not covered by the microscalping rule. Instead, at each payout request, at least 50% of your closed trades and at least 50% of your net profit in that payout cycle must come from trades held longer than 1 minute. If either is not met, the payout request is declined and all profit from trades held under 1 minute in that cycle is deducted. This is not a breach and your account stays open.
The 60 second rule, Daily Payouts only
Daily Payouts accounts are not covered by the microscalping rule either. At each payout request, at least 50% of your net profit since your last payout must come from trades held longer than 60 seconds. If it is not met, the request is declined and the profit from trades held 60 seconds or less in that period is deducted. This is not a breach and your account stays open.
The difference from Flex is that the Daily rule tests your net profit only. Flex tests both the number of closed trades and the profit.
Tick scalping
Opening and closing positions within seconds to capture small tick profits, typically $10 to $50 a time, is not permitted on any account, including Flex and Daily Payouts. Profit generated this way may be reviewed and deducted.
Flex Challenge | 1 minute rule at payout, on trades and profit
Daily Payouts | 60 second rule at payout, on profit
Why these rules exist
They exist so that results reflect what would realistically be executable on a live exchange, where slippage, partial fills and liquidity limits apply.
None of them should be confused with the 2 minute news buffer, which is a separate restriction around high impact news events.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · What strategies are prohibited? | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesArticle added navigation structure, updated date to 18 August 2026, removed rule numbering, and added related articles section with five links.Oct 7
Every rule below comes down to one question: could this strategy realistically be executed on a live exchange? We assess every account on whether it reflects genuine market trading rather than exploiting our simulated environment. Any strategy that only works because the environment is simulated is not permitted, whether listed below or not. Breaching a rule may result in a warning, profit adjustment, account review, or termination.
Section: Coordinated & linked trading
− 1. Coordinated & linked trading
Your trading must be your own and your accounts must operate independently. You may copy your own trades across your own accounts, but copying other users' trades or signals — manually, via copy services, or EAs — is prohibited, as is coordinating trades with other clients, holding opposing or hedged positions across accounts, group trading, trade signaling, or sharing devices, VPS instances, or IPs to enable linked trading. Where linked activity is detected, all accounts and users involved may be suspended.
Section: Risk discipline & position sizing
− 2. Risk discipline & position sizing
Trade like a professional managing real capital. Disproportionate all-in bets on a single position, account rolling, and erratic sizing swings (one micro on one trade, five minis on the next) may be treated as gambling rather than disciplined trading. Keep your sizing consistent with your strategy and balance.
Section: Exploiting the simulated environment
− 3. Exploiting the simulated environment
No market manipulation, spoofing, or deceptive conduct designed to distort prices or create false trading conditions. No arbitrage of any kind — latency, hedge, reverse, or rollover. No gap trading around market closures and re-openings, and no profiting from mispriced quotes, feed latency, or external price sources used for an edge.
Section: Scalping & high-frequency abuse
− 4. Scalping & high-frequency abuse
On EOD, 1-Day-Pass-Plan and Instant accounts, profits from trades closed within 2 minutes are deducted (not a breach). On Flex accounts created after July 21st, at least 50% of your closed trades and 50% of your net profits in each payout cycle must come from trades held longer than 1 minute — otherwise the payout is declined and sub-1-minute profits are deducted. HFT systems, tick scalping, bulk order-entry, and volume inflation are prohibited, and 100+ trades in a single day may trigger a risk review.
Section: Payout & requirement gaming
− 5. Payout & requirement gaming
Payouts reward sustainable trading. Earning the bulk of your profit in a single day and then trading the bare minimum to hit the required trading days, or placing token trades to fake activity, may result in the payout being withheld, the concentrated day's profit voided, or the account closed.
Section: News trading
− 6. News trading
News trading is fully allowed on challenge accounts. On funded accounts, you may not open a new position from 2 minutes before until 2 minutes after a scheduled high-impact news release. Holding an existing position through the news is fine, as is managing or closing it.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · Can I use a VPS? | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesArticle structure updated to add navigation breadcrumb, section heading, related articles links, and back-to-top link; substance of VPS prohibition policy unchanged.Oct 7
No. The use of Virtual Private Servers (VPS), cloud-hosted machines, or any form of remote server to access or trade your GFF account is strictly prohibited — on both evaluation and funded accounts, with no exceptions.
What exactly counts as a VPS or remote server?
Any setup where your trading platform runs on a machine that is not your own local, physical device. This includes:
- Virtual Private Servers (VPS) from any provider, including trading-specific services (e.g. ChartVPS, NinjaTrader VPS partners, ForexVPS)
- Cloud computing instances (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Vultr, Contabo, etc.)
- Dedicated servers or datacenter-hosted machines
- Remote desktop connections (RDP, AnyDesk, TeamViewer, Parsec) into any machine that is not physically yours
- Cloud PC services (e.g. Windows 365, Shadow PC)
If your platform is running on hardware you cannot physically touch, it falls under this policy.
Why does GFF prohibit VPS usage?
VPS and remote server access undermine the integrity of our program in several ways:
- Account sharing and copy trading. Remote servers make it trivial for multiple people to access the same account, or for one operator to run coordinated strategies across many accounts — both of which are prohibited under our Terms & Conditions.
- Automation abuse. VPS environments are commonly used to run unattended automated systems 24/7, which conflicts with our requirement that you personally place and manage your trades.
- Identity and location masking. Datacenter IPs obscure who is actually trading and from where, which prevents us from meeting our compliance obligations, including restricted-country checks.

Daily Payouts reset prices are $79 on the 25K, $109 on the 50K, $179 on the 100K and $259 on the 150K. For reset pricing on the other plans, visit goatfundedfutures.com.
Instant Classic and Instant Lite accounts cannot be reset.

GUnlistedGoat Funded Futures · Are the plans a subscription model or a one-time fee? | Goat Funded Futures FAQupdatedFuturesAdded navigation elements, breadcrumb path, update date, and related articles section to an existing pricing model explanation.Oct 7
Section: Are the plans a subscription model or a one-time fee?
All plans are a one-time fee only.
Unlike many other futures prop firms, we do not charge monthly subscriptions. You pay once and have unlimited time to pass your challenge, as long as you place at least one trade every 7 days.
This includes Daily Payouts. Competing daily payout products are often billed monthly, so the longer they take to pass, the more they pay. Ours is a single payment and we never bill you again.
If you don't pass, you can reset up to twice at a discounted price, still with no subscription.
