Futures Prop Firm Rule Radar

Every night Rule Radar archives the help center of every futures prop firm on the price list and shows exactly what changed: which page, which line, dated, before and after. Payout terms, consistency rules, drawdown math, activation fees: firms rewrite these without an announcement, and this is where you catch it. Updated pages open to the exact wording that changed, every article keeps a full version history you can compare, and a plain-English line on each row says what happened. Nothing here is written by the firms. It is their own help center, read every day and kept. – Jmu (@jmutrades)

+ Understanding futures contract codes
+ Every CME futures contract has a specific symbol structure: [Product Symbol] + [Month Code] + [Year].
+ 1. Product symbol
This identifies the underlying asset.
Section: 1. Product symbol
− Examples:
− - ES = E-mini S&P 500
− - NQ = E-mini Nasdaq-100
− - CL = Crude Oil
− - GC = Gold
− 2️⃣ Month Code (Letter)
− Futures contracts use a standardized letter to represent the expiration month:
−
MonthCode
JanuaryF
FebruaryG
MarchH
AprilJ
MayK
JuneM
JulyN
AugustQ
SeptemberU
OctoberV
NovemberX
DecemberZ
− These month codes are globally standardized across futures markets.
− While the standard month codes (like U, V, X) are globally standardized across futures markets, not every instrument follows the same rollover schedule. Depending on what you are trading, you'll need to watch for different expiration cycles.
− 🔄 Rollover Frequencies
− - Quarterly Rollover (Mar, Jun, Sep, Dec)
− - Common for Equity Index Futures (like the E-mini S&P 500 or Nasdaq 100).
− - Traders typically look for codes H, M, U, and Z. H stands for March, M stands for June, U represents September, and Z is the code for December.
− - Monthly Rollover
− - Standard for many Commodity Futures (like Crude Oil or Natural Gas) and some Currency Futures.
− 3️⃣ Year Code (Number)

Section: Why should we roll over? The real risk: low volume contracts
− 📉 Why should we rollover?
− The Real Risk: Low Volume Contracts
− As a futures contract approaches expiration, trading activity gradually shifts to the next contract month listed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
− This means the expiring contract begins to lose:
− - Trading volume 📉
− - Open interest 📉
− - Order book depth 📉
− Front Month vs. Back Months
− - Front Month: This is the contract with the closest expiration date that still has the highest trading volume and open interest. It is the most "active" contract where most trading occurs. ✅
− - Back Months: These are contracts that expire further in the future. While they exist in the order book, they typically have very low volume and thin liquidity. ❌
− Why it matters
− Traders should almost always trade the Front Month. Trading a Back Month by mistake causes Inconsistent Chart Behavior, Slippage Risk and has the chance to blow up your account rapidly.
− If you continue trading a low-volume contract, you face several risks.
− 🚫 Risks of Trading Low-Volume Contracts
−
Risk FactorImpact on Trading
− Wider Spreads | ↔️ Very Large bid-ask spreads; Immediately putting you in big drawdown when entering.
− Slippage Risk | 📉 Market orders fill at worse prices; poor stop-loss execution with huge slippage risk.
− Thin Order Books | ⚡ Small trades cause sharp price jumps; unstable behavior; technical levels don't react cleanly.
− Unreliable Price Action | 📊 Irregular price movements and gaps not present in the active contract.
− ⚠️ Important: Responsibility of the trader
− Top One Futures is not responsible for losses exceeding normal risk parameters caused by trading low-volume or close-to-expired contracts.
− 👤 Trader Responsibility
− It is the trader's sole responsibility to ensure they are trading the correct, active contract. Trading "thin" or close-to-expired contracts leads to:
− - 📉 Severe Slippage: Market orders and stop losses may fill at much worse prices.
− - ⚡Extreme Volatility: Small trades can cause massive, erratic price jumps.
− 🚨 How to Check Which Contract We Are Trading
− To make sure you are trading the correct futures contract, always confirm where the liquidity currently is or use a rollover calender.
− 🔎 Check Volume on the CME Website
− The most reliable source is the Chicago Mercantile Exchange website.
− On the product page (for example, Gold futures), you can:

+ KYC (Know Your Customer) is the identity verification process every trader must complete before moving forward with a funded account. It only takes a few minutes, and you only ever have to do it once. This article explains why it matters and how to complete it.
+ Why is KYC important?
Identity verification protects both you and our trading community. It confirms that every funded account belongs to a real, verified person, which keeps the platform fair, prevents fraud and duplicate accounts, and allows us to send payouts securely to the right person.
It is also a requirement, not an optional step. You must complete your KYC verification in order to:

A couple of things that will save you time and prevent your verification from being declined:

Yes! Canadian traders can fully utilize our services. However, please note that as a Canadian, you cannot purchase a LIVE account with Tradovate. Section: 🔥 Ignite Accounts: 15% Consistency Rule
− The 15% Consistency Rule is a key performance metric we use to ensure our funded traders are earning profits through a stable and consistent strategy, rather than from a single "lucky" or high-risk trading day.
− We are looking to partner with traders who can demonstrate steady, long-term profitability. This rule is designed to reward that skill.
− Specifically, this rule applies to new Ignite accounts opened under the updated terms. Existing accounts that use the ESS rule remain unchanged and cannot transition to this new rule.
− The Rule & How It's Calculated
− The rule is simple: Your single best trading day's profit cannot account for more than 15% of your total accumulated profit.
− At the moment you request a payout, we use the following formula to check your score:
− Your Consistency Score = (Best Day's Profit ÷ Total Profit) x 100
− To be eligible for a payout, your Consistency Score must be 15% or less.
− Payout Eligibility Examples
− Let's assume you are on an account with a $3,000 profit target.
− Scenario 1: PASS
− - You reach a Total Profit of $3,000.
− - You check your trading log, and your Best Day's Profit was $400.
− - Calculation: ($400 ÷ $3,000) * 100 = 13.3%
− - Result: ✅ PASS. Your score of 13.3% is below the 15% limit, and you are eligible for a payout (assuming all other rules are met).
− Scenario 2: FAIL
− - You reach a Total Profit of $3,000.
− - You check your trading log, and your Best Day's Profit was $2,000.
− - Calculation: ($2,000 ÷ $3,000) * 100 = 66.7%
− - Result: ❌ FAIL. Your score of 66.7% is much higher than the 15% limit. Your payout request will be denied until your score is fixed.
− "I Failed! How Do I Fix My High Score?
− If your score is too high, you don't need to panic or reset your account. The solution is simply to continue trading profitably to increase your "Total Profit" denominator.
− Your one big day has set a new, higher profit target for you. To find your new target, use this formula:
− Your New Target Profit = (Your Best Day's Profit ÷ 0.15)
− Using Scenario 2 as our example:
− - Your Best Day's Profit: $2,000
− - New Target Calculation: $2,000 ÷ 0.15 = $13,333.33
− This means you must now grow your account's Total Profit to $13,333.33 to bring your score down to 15%. (This is, of course, assuming you do not have another, even larger winning day while working toward this new target).
− Key Things to Remember
− It's a Payout Rule: This rule does not cause a breach. It is only checked when you request a withdrawal.
− - It Encourages Longevity: The best way to pass is to aim for smaller, consistent daily wins rather than trying to hit your entire target in one or two days.
− - It Resets: The Consistency Score calculation resets to zero after every successful payout.

+ The rule and how it is calculated
+ Your single best trading day’s profit cannot account for more than 15% of your total accumulated profit. At the moment you request a payout, we check your score with this formula:
+ Consistency score = (Best day’s profit ÷ Total profit) × 100. To be eligible for a payout, your score must be 15% or lower.

+ Both scenarios assume you are on an account with a $3,000 profit target.

ScenarioTotal profit | Best dayScoreResult
+ 1. Pass | $3,000 | $400 | 13.3% | Pass: below the 15% limit, eligible for a payout (assuming all other rules are met)
+ 2. Fail | $3,000 | $2,000 | 66.7% | Fail: far above the 15% limit, the payout request is denied until the score is fixed
+ Failed? How to fix a high score
+ You do not need to panic or reset your account. The solution is to continue trading profitably to increase your total profit. Your one big day has set a new, higher profit target for you:
+ New target profit = Best day’s profit ÷ 0.15. Using scenario 2: $2,000 ÷ 0.15 = $13,333.33. You must grow your total profit to $13,333.33 to bring your score down to 15% (assuming you do not have another, even larger winning day on the way).
+ Good to know
+ - It is a payout rule. This rule does not cause a breach. It is only checked when you request a withdrawal.
+ - It encourages longevity. The best way to pass is to aim for smaller, consistent daily wins rather than hitting your entire target in one or two days.
+ - It resets. The consistency score calculation resets to zero after every successful payout.
+ Your best day may never be more than 15% of your total profit at the moment you request a payout. If it is, keep trading until the total catches up: new target = best day ÷ 0.15.

Section: 🔥 Ignite Accounts : Payout Requirements
− This account is designed to reward consistent, profitable traders. To be eligible to request a payout, you must meet three key requirements.
− Here is a simple breakdown of each rule:
− 1. 5% Profit Target
− You must reach a 5% profit target to be eligible for each payout. How this target is calculated changes slightly after your first withdrawal.
− For Your First Payout: The target is 5% of your initial account balance.
− - Example (50k Account):
− - Initial Balance: $50,000
− - 5% Profit Target: $2,500
− - Target Balance for Payout: $52,500
− For Subsequent Payouts: The target is 5% on top of your new balance after your previous payout is deducted.
− - Example (Continuing from above):
− - You reach $52,500 and request a $1,000 payout.
− - Your new post-payout balance is: $51,500
− - Your new 5% profit target is calculated from this balance: ($51,500 * 0.05) = $2,575
− - Target Balance for 2nd Payout: $51,500 + $2,575 = $54,075

+ 1. The 5% profit target
+ You must reach a 5% profit target to be eligible for each payout. How the target is calculated changes slightly after your first withdrawal.
+ - First payout: the target is 5% of your initial account balance. Example ($50,000 account): 5% is $2,500, so the target balance for your first payout is $52,500.
+ - Subsequent payouts: the target is 5% on top of your new balance after your previous payout is deducted. Example: you reach $52,500 and request a $1,000 payout, so your new balance is $51,500. Your next target is 5% of $51,500 = $2,575, so the target balance for your second payout is $54,075.
The minimum payout is $250 on all account sizes and payout cycles.
Section: 2. The 15% consistency rule
− 2. 15% Consistency Rule
− This is the most important rule for managing your risk. It ensures that your profits are earned steadily, rather than from a single lucky day.
− The Rule: Your single best trading day's profit cannot account for more than 15% of your total accumulated profit at the time of your payout request.
− The Formula: (Best Day's Profit / Total Profit) * 100 = Your Consistency Score
− Example 1: (PASS)
− - You reach a total profit of $2,500.
− - Your single best day was $300.
− - Calculation: ($300 ÷ $2,500) * 100 = 12%
− - Result: You PASS (12% is less than 15%).
− Example 2: (FAIL)
− - You reach a total profit of $2,500.
− - Your single best day was $1,000.
− - Calculation: ($1,000 ÷ $2,500) * 100 = 40%
− - Result: You FAIL (40% is greater than 15%).
− "I failed... how do I fix my score?"
− If your best day is too high, you must "fix" your score by accumulating more profits. You need to make that best day equal 15% of a new, larger total profit.
− - Using Example 2:
− - Your best day is $1,000.
− - To find the profit target you need: $1,000 ÷ 0.15 = $6,667
− - You must grow your total profit to $6,667 (without having another day better than $1,000) to meet the 15% rule.
+ 2. The 15% consistency rule
+ This is the most important rule for managing your risk. It ensures your profits are earned steadily, rather than from a single lucky day. Your single best trading day cannot account for more than 15% of your total accumulated profit at the time of your payout request.
+ Formula: Consistency score = (Best day’s profit ÷ Total profit) × 100.
+
ExampleTotal profitBest dayScoreResult
Pass$2,500$30012%Pass (below 15%)
Fail$2,500$1,00040%Fail (above 15%)
+ Failed? How to fix your score: accumulate more profit so that your best day equals 15% of a new, larger total. Using the fail example: $1,000 ÷ 0.15 = $6,667. You must grow your total profit to $6,667 (without having another day better than $1,000) to meet the 15% rule. See the 15% Consistency Rule article for more detail.
+ 3. Payout amounts
+ - Each payout is capped at $500 ($25K), $1,000 ($50K), $1,500 ($100K) or $2,000 ($150K).
+ - You keep 90% of the payout amount; 10% stays with the firm.
+ - You can request a payout as soon as you reach the profit target with the consistency rule met. There is no minimum number of trading days.
+ Checklist before you request a payout: 5% profit since your last payout (or since the start), best day at most 15% of total profit, and a request between $250 and your account’s cap.

Section: Elite ACCESS Intraday - Daily Progression Rule (50%)
− Elite ACCESS Intraday – Daily Progression Rule (50%)
− The Daily Progression Rule ensures that payouts are based on consistent, ongoing performance rather than profits generated strictly from a single earlier trading period.
− This rule applies only to funded accounts and is checked at the moment of each payout request.
− How the Rule Works
− For every payout request after your initial withdrawal:
− - At least 50% of the requested payout amount must come from profits generated since your last payout.
− First Payout vs. Subsequent Payouts
− First Payout
− - The 50% progression rule does not apply to your first payout.
− - You may withdraw any valid profits once all standard payout requirements (buffer + $500 threshold, 5 profitable days, and 40% consistency rule) are met.
− Subsequent Payouts (Second Payout Onward)
− - A minimum of 50% of the requested amount must come from new profits.
− - Only profits generated after your last approved payout are considered "new" profits.
− Example Scenario
− - First Payout: You receive a $2,000 payout.
− - Account Balance Progress: After the payout, your account continues trading, and you decide to request a second $2,000 payout.
− - Requirement:
− - At least $1,000 (50%) of the new payout request must be from profits generated after your first payout was processed.
− - The remaining $1,000 can come from existing profits sitting above your buffer threshold.
− Important Notes
− - Funded Phase Only: Applies strictly to funded Elite ACCESS Intraday accounts.
− - Risk Parameters: While working toward your next payout, your account remains subject to the Intraday Trailing Drawdown and Daily Loss Limit (DLL) rules.
− - Payout Counter Reset: With each processed payout, the count for new profits, consistency rule and the 5-day profitable trading counter reset for the next cycle.
− Summary
− - First Payout: Excluded from the progression rule.
− - Subsequent Payouts: At least 50% of the requested withdrawal amount must be derived from new profits made after your previous payout.
− - Purpose: Encourages continuous performance and sustainable account growth.

This ensures funded traders demonstrate consistent performance rather than relying on a single lucky market move. It applies only to funded accounts; the evaluation has no minimum day requirement and can be passed in as little as 1 day.
+ What counts as a profitable day

+
Account sizeMinimum daily profit
$25,000$200
$50,000$250
$100,000$300
$150,000$350
Section: How it works
− How It Works
− To make a payout request valid:
− - You must complete a minimum of 5 profitable trading days within your current payout cycle.
− - These 5 days do not need to be consecutive.
− - On each of those 5 days, your closed net profit must hit or exceed the minimum threshold for your account size.
− - Trading days with profits below the minimum threshold count toward your overall profit balance, but they do not count as one of the 5 required profitable trading days.
− Example
− For a $50,000 Elite ACCESS Intraday funded account (Minimum Daily Profit: $250):
− - Day 1: Net Profit +$300 → Valid Profitable Day 1
− - Day 2: Net Profit +$150 → Does not count toward the 5 days (below $250 requirement)
− - Day 3: Net Profit +$400 → Valid Profitable Day 2
− - Day 4: Net Loss -$100 → Does not count
− - Day 5: Net Profit +$260 → Valid Profitable Day 3
− - Day 6: Net Profit +$500 → Valid Profitable Day 4
− - Day 7: Net Profit +$310 → Valid Profitable Day 5
− At this point, you have completed 5 valid profitable trading days.
− Important Notes
− - Funded Phase Only: This requirement applies strictly to funded accounts. The evaluation phase requires only 1 profitable trading day.
− - Reset After Payout: Once a payout is processed, your profitable day counter resets to 0, and you must complete another 5 profitable trading days for your next payout request to become valid.
− - Open Trades: Only closed, realized trades count toward the daily profit total.
− Summary
− - Requirement: Must achieve at least 5 profitable trading days before requesting a payout.
− - Profit Thresholds: $200 ($25K), $250 ($50K), $300 ($100K), or $350 ($150K) per day.
− - Non-Consecutive: The days do not need to occur back-to-back.
+ How it works
+ - You must complete at least 5 profitable trading days within your current payout cycle.
+ - These days do not need to be consecutive.
+ - On each of those days, your closed net profit must hit or exceed the minimum for your account size.
+ - Days with profit below the minimum still count toward your overall balance, but not toward the 5 required days.
+ Example ($50,000 account, minimum $250 per day)
+
DayNet resultCounts?
Day 1 | +$300Yes (profitable day 1)

+ The Consistency Rule ensures that trading performance is stable and not reliant on a single large trading day. It applies only to funded accounts; there is no consistency rule during the evaluation.
+ How the 40% rule works
Your largest single trading day must not exceed 40% of your total profits in your current payout cycle.
Section: How the 40% rule works
− Formula:
− Consistency % = (Largest Winning Day / Total Profit) * 100
− This value must be 40% or less for it to be valid
− To determine the minimum total profit required to get 40% consistency based on your best day: Total Profit Needed = (Largest Winning Day / 0.40)
− Example (Valid)
− - Total Profit: $5,000
− - Largest Winning Day: $2,000
− Consistency = 40% → Valid
− Example (Not Valid)
− - Total Profit: $4,000
− - Largest Winning Day: $2,200
− Consistency = 55% → Not valid
− Where this rule applies:
− The consistency rule is checked:
− - When submitting a payout request
− - Based on your current total profit at that moment
+ Formula: Consistency % = (Largest winning day ÷ Total profit) × 100. This value must be 40% or less. To find the minimum total profit you need based on your best day: Total profit needed = Largest winning day ÷ 0.40.

+ When the rule applies
+ The consistency rule is checked when you submit a payout request, based on your current total profit at that moment.
How to get below the 40% mark
Section: How to get below the 40% mark
− If your account exceeds the 40% limit:
− - Continue trading to increase total profit
− - Reduce the percentage impact of your largest winning day
− Example
− - Largest day: $2,000
− - To be compliant (≤40%), total profit must be at least:
− $5,000
− Important Notes
− - Applies only to funded accounts
− - Applies only to profitable days
− - Based on closed trades only
+ If your account exceeds the 40% limit, continue trading to increase your total profit, which reduces the percentage impact of your largest winning day.
+ Example: your largest day is $2,000. To be compliant (40% or less), your total profit must be at least $5,000.
+ Good to know
+ - Applies only to funded accounts.
+ - Applies only to profitable days.
+ - Based on closed trades only.
- Recalculated continuously as your profit changes.
Section: Good to know
− - Highest profit day is still being recorded, whether in drawdown or in profits
− - After a payout is taken, your total profits reset, and the consistency rule begins again based on new profits moving forward.
+ - Your highest profit day keeps being recorded, whether the account is in drawdown or in profit.

+ The Trailing Intra-Day Drawdown on funded Elite ACCESS Intraday accounts: how it trails live equity, worked examples and when it locks.
+ Updated today
+ Table of contents
+ Funded Elite ACCESS Intraday accounts use a Trailing Intra-Day Drawdown (TIDD) to manage risk and reward consistency. It protects both the trader and the firm from excessive loss while still allowing room for growth. The evaluation phase uses an End-of-Day drawdown instead (see the evaluation phase article).
+ What is the Trailing Intra-Day Drawdown
+ Your maximum allowable loss trails your highest intraday equity, including open (unrealized) trades. It is tracked live, tick by tick, in real time.
- It is not fixed at the starting balance.
Section: What is the Trailing Intra-Day Drawdown
− - It moves upward only as your live equity hits new highs, it does not go down.
+ - It moves upward only as your live equity hits new highs. It never goes down.
- It is based on the highest equity value during the day, not just closed trades.
− - The TIDD does not reset at the end of the day; it is always calculated based on your highest realized or unrealized P&L achieved on the account.
− Example – $100,000 Account with 3% TIDD
− - Account Size: $100,000
− - TIDD: 3% = $3,000
− - Initial Breach Level: $97,000
− Scenario 1
− You make $1,000 and close the trade.
− - New high: $101,000
− - New breach level: $98,000
− Scenario 2
− You open a trade, and your intraday equity spikes to $103,000 (unrealized).
− - Even if you close it later at $102,500, the breach level is $100,000 (based on the peak of $103,000).
− Scenario 3
− Your next trade spikes to $105,500, then drops to $103,000.
− - New breach level: $102,500 ($105,500 - $3,000 Intraday drawdown)
− - If your equity drops below $102,500, the account breaches—even if you haven't closed the trade.
− Key Takeaway: The TIDD follows your highest equity value ever achieved, whether realized or unrealized. It does not reset when you close a trade.
− When Does the TIDD Stop Trailing? (Drawdown Lock)
− On Elite ACCESS Intraday Funded Accounts, your TIDD continues to trail until you request your first payout. After you requested your first payout, it locks in at the starting balance plus $100 and stops trailing. From that point forward, account growth no longer raises the breach level.
− Summary of TIDD Rules
− - Real-time: Includes open (unrealized) trades.
− - Dynamic: Adjusts upward as new equity highs are hit.
− - Breach Level: If equity drops below the trailing threshold, your account breaches.
− - Post-Payout Lock: After your first payout, the TIDD locks in place at your starting balance + $100 and stops trailing.
− This rule rewards discipline, not gambling. Traders who manage risk and grow steadily will thrive.
− Rule Violation
− If your account balance closes at or drops below your Maximum Loss Limit threshold during the funded phase:
− - The account will be permanently breached.
− - Trading access will be disabled.
− Summary of TIDD Rules
− - Real-time: Includes open (unrealized) trades.
− - Dynamic: Adjusts upward as new equity highs are hit, never goes down.
− - Breach Level: If equity drops below the trailing threshold, your account breaches.
− - Drawdown Lock: After your first payout, the TIDD locks in place at your starting balance + $100 and stops trailing.

+ Example: $100,000 account with a $3,000 TIDD
+ Starting balance $100,000, so the initial breach level is $97,000.
+
ScenarioWhat happensNew breach level
1. You make $1,000 and close the tradeNew equity high: $101,000$98,000
+ 2. An open trade spikes your equity to $103,000 (unrealized), you close it at $102,500 | The peak of $103,000 counts, not the closing value | $100,000
+ 3. The next trade spikes to $105,500, then drops back to $103,000 | The peak of $105,500 counts. If your equity drops below the breach level, the account breaches, even with the trade still open | $102,500
+ Key takeaway: the TIDD follows your highest equity value ever achieved, whether realized or unrealized. It does not reset when you close a trade.
+ When does the TIDD stop trailing (drawdown lock)
+ On funded Elite ACCESS Intraday accounts, the TIDD keeps trailing until you request your first payout. After your first payout request, it locks at starting balance + $100 and stops trailing. From that point, account growth no longer raises the breach level. This is different from the evaluation phase and from the regular Elite ACCESS account, where the drawdown locks as soon as the balance reaches starting balance + drawdown + $100. On a funded Elite ACCESS Intraday account the drawdown keeps trailing above that level until your first payout request.
+ Good to know
+ - Real-time: includes open (unrealized) trades.
+ - Dynamic: adjusts upward as new equity highs are hit, never down.
+ - Breach level: if your equity drops below the trailing threshold, your account breaches.
+ - Post-payout lock: after your first payout, the TIDD locks at starting balance + $100.
This rule rewards discipline, not gambling. Traders who manage risk and grow steadily will thrive.
Section: Good to know
+ Hard breach: if your equity drops at or below the Maximum Loss Limit threshold during the funded phase, the account is permanently breached and trading access is disabled.

− How EOD Trailing Drawdown Works (Evaluation Only)
− - Calculated at Market Close: The drawdown level updates based on your closed account balance at the end of the trading day (5 PM EST / Market Close).
− - Does Not Trail Intraday: Equity spikes during active trading will not raise your drawdown limit mid-session.
− - Trails Up, Never Down: As your end-of-day balance reaches new highs, your trailing stop level moves up accordingly.
− - Drawdown Lock: Once your account balance reaches the threshold to lock drawdown (drawdown in profits + $100), the MLL stops trailing and remains fixed at starting balance + $100.
− When Does the Drawdown Lock?
− Drawdown Lock: Once your highest End of Day Balance reaches the threshold to lock drawdown. (drawdown in profits + $100), the MLL stops trailing and remains fixed at starting balance + $100. From that point forward, further account growth no longer raises the breach level.
− An example $50,000 Account - This account has $2,000 drawdown.
− When your Highest End of Day Balance reaches at least $52,100 (drawdown + $100)
− Result: Your Maximum Loss Limit locks at $50,100 and does not trail up anymore.
− Drawdown Lock Level
− Once you reach the threshold, the trailing drawdown (MLL) locks at Starting Balance + $100:
−
Account SizeMaximum Loss Limit Locks at
$25K$25,100
$50K$50,100
$100K$100,100
$150K$150,100
− After this point:
− - The drawdown (MLL) no longer trails upward, even if your Highest End of Day Balance grows.
− - Your account cannot fall below this locked level.
− Example (Evaluation Phase)
− On a $50,000 Evaluation Account:
− - Starting MLL Threshold: $48,000 ($50,000 – $2,000 drawdown).
− - Day 1: If you end the day at $51,500, your new MLL threshold for the next day becomes $49,500 ($51,500 – $2,000).
− What Happens When Funded?
− When you pass the evaluation and transition to a funded Elite ACCESS Intraday account:
+ How the EOD trailing drawdown works
+ - Calculated at market close: the drawdown is based on your end-of-day balance.
+ - Does not trail intraday: equity spikes during active trading do not raise your drawdown limit mid-session.
+ - Trails up, never down: as your end-of-day balance reaches new highs, your trailing stop level moves up accordingly.
+ Example ($50,000 account): starting MLL threshold of $48,000 ($50,000 minus $2,000 drawdown). If you end day 1 at $51,500, your MLL threshold for the next day becomes $49,500.
+ Drawdown lock level
+ Once your highest end-of-day balance reaches the lock threshold (starting balance + drawdown + $100), the MLL stops trailing and remains fixed at starting balance + $100. From that point, further account growth no longer raises the breach level.
+
Account sizeLock threshold (highest EOD balance)MLL locks at
$25,000$26,100$25,100
$50,000$52,100$50,100
$100,000$103,100$100,100
$150,000$154,100$150,100
+ Example ($50,000 account): when your highest end-of-day balance reaches at least $52,100 ($2,000 drawdown + $100), your MLL locks at $50,100 and does not trail up anymore. Your account cannot fall below this locked level.
+ What happens when funded
- The drawdown model switches from End-of-Day (EOD) to Intraday Trailing Drawdown.
- An active Daily Loss Limit (DLL) also applies during the funded phase.
Section: What happens when funded
− Rule Violations
− If your account balance closes at or drops below your Maximum Loss Limit threshold during the evaluation phase:
− - The account will be permanently breached.
− - Trading access will be disabled.
− - A reset ($35) is required to re-attempt the evaluation phase.
− Summary
− - Evaluation Phase: Uses EOD Trailing Drawdown (updates only at market close).
− - Funded Phase: Switches to Intraday Trailing Drawdown + Daily Loss Limit.
− - Hard Breach: Hitting or dropping below the MLL results in account termination.
+ Hard breach: if your balance closes at or below your MLL threshold during the evaluation, the account is permanently breached and trading access is disabled. A $35 reset is required to re-attempt the evaluation.

+ How it works
+ Before requesting a payout, your account must first build the required buffer, plus an additional $500 in profit. This means:
- The buffer must remain in the account.
− - Only once your total profit exceeds the Buffer + $500 (minimum payout) threshold can you request a payout.
+ - Only once your total profit exceeds the buffer + $500 (minimum payout) threshold can you request a payout.
- This threshold is required for each payout request.
− Important Notes
− - Eligibility Threshold: This is not a profit target to pass the funded account, it is a profit threshold strictly for payout eligibility.
− - Risk Rule: Remember that funded Elite ACCESS Intraday accounts utilize an Intraday Trailing Drawdown.
− - Additional Payout Conditions: All other payout conditions besides the profit requirement must still be met in order to be eligible for a payout, this includes:
− - Minimum 5 profitable days
− - Meeting the minimum daily profit requirement
− - Respecting the 40% consistency rule
− - Following all the trading rules
− Example - Profit Requirement
− For a $50,000 Elite ACCESS Intraday funded account:
− - Payout Buffer: $2,000
− - Additional profit required: $500
− - Total profit needed before payout request: $2,500
− Summary
− To request a payout on Elite ACCESS Intraday funded accounts, your account must first reach:
− - $2,000 on $25K
− - $2,500 on $50K
− - $3,500 on $100K
− - $5,000 on $150K
− This is the minimum profit level required before a payout can be submitted (Assuming you've also reached the additional payout conditions).
+ Example ($50,000 account): payout buffer of $2,000 plus $500 additional profit means you need $2,500 in profit before you can request a payout.
+ Good to know
+ - This is not a profit target to pass the funded account. It is a profit threshold strictly for payout eligibility.
+ - Funded Elite ACCESS Intraday accounts use an Intraday Trailing Drawdown, so keep that in mind while building the buffer.
+ - All other payout conditions must still be met: 5 profitable days, the minimum daily profit requirement, the 40% consistency rule and all trading rules.
+ Minimum profit before a payout request: $2,000 on $25K, $2,500 on $50K, $3,500 on $100K and $5,000 on $150K (assuming the other payout conditions are also met).

− How Scaling Works
− Once your account is funded, your maximum contract size increases as your simulated account balance grows.
− - Evaluation Phase: You can trade your full contract limit immediately, no scaling rules apply.
− - Funded Phase: Your contract limit scales based on your account equity/profit milestones.
− Calculation: Allowed contract size updates based on your end-of-day (EOD) closing balance and takes effect the following trading day. Intraday equity spikes during active trading do not unlock higher scaling tiers mid-session.

− How Scaling is Calculated
− Your scaling level is determined by:
− - Your funded account closing balance
− - Your total simulated profit
− - Your end-of-day balance
− Contract increases are applied the following trading day once your closing balance qualifies.
− Important to Know:
− - Intraday profits do not unlock higher scaling tiers
− - Only end-of-day results are used
− Key Rules & Guidelines
− - Contract Micro-to-Mini Ratio: 1 Mini contract is equal to 10 Micro contracts. You can trade a mix of Minis and Micros as long as the combined total stays within your tier limit.
− - Daily Update: Allowed contract increases take effect the next trading day after your end-of-day closing balance qualifies for a higher tier.
− Exceeding Your Contract Limit
− It is your responsibility to monitor and follow the contract scaling rules at all times.
− Exceeding your allowed contract size is considered a rule violation.

+ Evaluation phase
+ To pass the evaluation, reach the 6% profit target within 30 days while respecting the End-of-Day trailing drawdown. No daily loss limit applies, and you can pass in 1 day.
+ - Drawdown is calculated end-of-day (EOD), only during the evaluation.
+ - No consistency rule applies during the evaluation.
+ Funded phase: Intraday Trailing Drawdown
+ The funded account uses a Trailing Intra-Day Drawdown (TIDD). Your maximum allowable loss trails your highest intraday equity, including open (unrealized) trades, and is tracked live, tick by tick.
- It is not fixed at the starting balance.
- It moves upward only as your equity hits new highs.
- It is based on the highest equity value during the day, not just closed trades.
Section: Funded phase: Intraday Trailing Drawdown
− - The TIDD (Trailing Intra-Day Drawdown) does not reset at the end of the day; it is always calculated based on the highest realized or unrealized P&L.
− - No consistency rule applies during evaluation
− Payout System:
− Elite ACCESS Intraday accounts offer flexible payout conditions:

Section: The single account policy
− The Single Account Policy
− We operate under a strict one account per user policy. Every trader is permitted to have only one registered profile within our system.
− All of your activities, including purchasing evaluations, taking Evaluations, and managing funded accounts, must be conducted through this single, original profile.
− Strictly Prohibited Actions
− To ensure the integrity of our platform, several actions are strictly forbidden. You may not register for more than one user profile under any circumstances. Creating new accounts using different email addresses to bypass rules, restart a Evaluation, or mask your identity is prohibited.
− You must also register using your own legal identity. You cannot create an account using the name of a friend, family member, or fictitious person. Furthermore, you must be the sole individual executing trades on your account. Sharing your login credentials or allowing a third party to trade on your behalf is not allowed.

+ In short

Traveling and trading (will require verification)Using a VPN (strictly prohibited)
+ When is proof of travel required?
If you relocate or trade from a different country, we will ask for additional verification to ensure account security. Always use a stable and consistent IP to avoid issues.
Section: IP address violations
− IP Address Violations:
− - Multiple IP Addresses on the Same Account: Using different IP addresses to access a single account may raise flags and be considered a violation.
− - Multiple Accounts from Similar IP Addresses: Trading from multiple accounts originating from the same or closely related IP addresses is not allowed.
− - Copying Trades Across Different Accounts: Identical trades placed across multiple accounts under different ownership will be flagged.
− - Hedging Across Multiple Accounts: Any form of hedging across multiple accounts, including accounts from other prop firms or brokers, is strictly prohibited.
− Recommendations for Secure Trading:
− We highly recommend that traders use a single device with a unique IP address for their trading activities to avoid any security concerns. For professional traders, utilizing a Virtual Private Server (VPS) with a static IP address can provide additional security and faster execution times. While we understand that you may trade from different devices (such as mobile or desktop) or while traveling, this may result in multiple IP addresses being associated with your account. This is generally acceptable, but in cases where you travel or relocate to another country, we may request additional verification documents for security purposes.

+ Clarification on VPS usage
At Top One Futures, we permit the use of Virtual Private Servers (VPS) with static IP addresses for trading purposes. VPS usage is often preferred by professional traders as it provides stability and faster execution times. If you choose to use a VPS, please ensure it has a static IP address and notify us in advance to avoid any issues. To enable VPS usage for your trading account, please provide the following information:
Section: Clarification on VPS usage
− - IP Address of the VPS: This must be a static IP.
− - VPS Service Invoice: The invoice should include the VPS's IP address to verify that it is a legitimate service.
− - IP Registration: Ensure the VPS IP address is shared and registered with our team to avoid connection issues such as internal server errors when using specific platform features.

+ IP registration | Ensure the VPS IP address is shared and registered with our team to avoid connection issues such as internal server errors when using specific platform features
+ Important note on VPNs
The use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) is not advised. VPNs allow users to switch locations, which can lead to false positives in our location-based security checks, resulting in potential account breaches. For this reason, using a VPN may trigger location violations and lead to account suspension or breaches. To avoid any issues, always use a stable and consistent IP address, such as through a VPS, and notify us of any planned changes in your trading environment, particularly if you are traveling or using a new VPS.

+ Violations
Any serious violations of this IP policy will result in a breach of your account and forfeiture of any profits. We are committed to ensuring a safe and secure trading environment and use sophisticated fraud detection technology to monitor activity. We also maintain a global IP blacklist of fraudulent users and take action against anyone using third-party services like "pass your Evaluation" or account management companies. Violators will be blacklisted and may face legal action.
− Detailed VPS Compliance Guidelines:
− - Trading from different devices (mobile, desktop)
− - Using a VPS with a static IP (must notify support)
− - Traveling and trading (may require verification)
− - Registering your VPS IP address with our team to avoid technical issues linked to unregistered IPs.
− - Providing a VPS service invoice that verifies its use for your trading setup.

What is the Inactivity Rule?
Section: What is the Inactivity Rule?
− All traders must place at least one trade every 14 calendar days to keep their account in good standing.
− - This means any one trade (entry and exit) must occur within a 14-day window, starting from your most recent trade.
− - The 14-day window includes weekends and holidays, not just business days.
− What happens if I don’t trade for 14 days?
+
Rule detailHow it works
+ Requirement | At least one trade (entry and exit) must occur within a 14-day window, starting from your most recent trade

+ What happens if I don't trade for 14 days?
If no trades are placed within any 14-day period:

- The account will receive a hard breach and be closed permanently.
- All progress and profits on the account will be lost.

+ What is the Minimum Trade Time Rule?
We understand traders may accidentally close a trade early, or may need to exit a trade sooner than 10 seconds. This rule is in place to promote strategic trading and prevent ultra-high-frequency scalping techniques that do not align with our trading model.
If our risk team sees that ultra-high-frequency trades are excessive, our risk team reserves the right to remove profits based on trades closed in under 10 seconds.

+ 2. What counts as prohibited copy trading?
Copy trading violations are not just limited to software settings. The following actions are classified as unauthorized copy trading:
Section: 2. What counts as prohibited copy trading?
− A. Copying Different Accounts or Sizes Together
− Using a trade copier to link, bridge, or trade different account types or different account sizes together at the same time.
− B. Manual Mirroring (Delayed Entries)
− Manually entering the same trade across different account types or sizes to copy your own positions. If you buy or sell the same instrument across mismatched accounts, even if it is minutes or an hour later, it is still classified as copy trading. As long as the position is still active on your first account and the different account size or type goes in the same direction as well, it is classified as copy trading.
− C. Correlated Asset Trading
− Trading the same direction on highly correlated assets across different account types or sizes. Highly correlated instruments move closely together, meaning trading them in the same direction simultaneously is a strict violation.
− - What IS considered Correlated (Prohibited) includes, but is not limited to:
− - Example: Trading ES (S&P 500) and NQ (Nasdaq), or YM (Dow Jones) and RTY (Russell 2000) in the same direction across mismatched accounts.
− - Mini and Micro Versions Example: Trading ES and MES, or NQ and MNQ in the same direction across mismatched accounts.
− - What IS NOT considered Correlated(Allowed):
− - Trading completely unrelated asset classes at the same time across different account types. For example, going long on NQ (Nasdaq) in your Instant Sim Funded account while simultaneously going long on CL (Crude Oil) or GC (Gold) in your Elite Daily account is acceptable.
− Examples of a Violation:
− You have an Instant Sim Funded account and an Elite Daily account. Opening a long position on ES in one account, and then opening a long position on NQ in the other account while the first position is still active, is a violation.
− You have an Ignite Instant Funding account and an Elite Access account. Opening a long position on GC in one account, and then opening a long position on SI in the other account while the first position is still active, is a violation.
− Does TOP ONE FUTURES provide its own trade copier software?
− Yes! We provide a trade copier feature built directly into our trading platform, Tradovate. You can set up and manage your trade copier configurations right from within the platform. For more information about Group Trading, refer to this FAQ article from Tradovate here.
− What does "Individual Trading Responsibility" mean for copy trading?

+ What is the Limit for Funded Accounts Per Household?
+ The maximum number of active funded accounts allowed per household, the Live Funded restriction, and the copy trading rules between household members.
+ Updated today
+ Table of contents
The limits below represent the maximum number of active funded accounts allowed per household. These limits apply to the entire household combined, that is, across every person living at the same address, not per individual trader.
− 💡 Example: A household may hold a maximum of 10 Ignite Funded accounts in total. This cap is shared by everyone in the home. If one member holds 6 Ignite Funded accounts, the remaining members can hold no more than 4 between them.
− The maximums for each account category are:
− - Elite Daily Funded: A maximum of 5 active accounts. All 5 must be the exact same account size.
− - Elite Access Funded: A maximum of 10 active accounts. All 10 must be the exact same account size.
− - Instant Sim Funded: A maximum of 3 accounts (100K or 150K sizes) OR a maximum of 5 accounts (25K or 50K sizes). All accounts in this category must be the exact same size, sizes cannot be mixed (e.g., all 25K, or all 50K, or all 100K).
− - Elite Sim Funded: A maximum of 3 accounts (100K or 150K sizes) OR a maximum of 5 accounts (25K or 50K sizes). All accounts in this category must be the exact same size, sizes cannot be mixed (e.g., all 25K, or all 50K, or all 100K).
− - Ignite Funded: A maximum of 10 active accounts. All 10 must be the exact same account size.
− 📌 Note: Some of the limits above reflect our current promotional account limits. During certain promotional periods we allow traders to hold more accounts than our standard limits, and this applies only to accounts purchased during that promotion. Please check our homepage for the account limits currently in effect.
− Total Capacity: Because each category has its own independent limit, a single household can hold a grand total of up to 35 active funded accounts at one time (when utilizing the 25K/50K limits for the Instant Sim and Elite Sim categories), or up to 31 when utilizing the 100K/150K limits for those categories.
− ⚠️ The Live Funded Account Restriction
− There is one critical exception to the limits above regarding Live Funded accounts:
− If any trader within a household has an active Top One Futures Live Funded account, NO additional Sim Funded accounts are allowed for that household whatsoever.
− This restriction is strictly enforced. If one person in your home transitions to a Live Funded account, no one else in the household may activate or trade on a Sim Funded account.
− 🚫 Copy Trading Restrictions
− While multiple individuals in a household can have their own accounts (subject to the limits above), copy trading between different users is strictly prohibited.
− This rule applies regardless of whether the users reside in the same household or not. Each trader must execute their own independent trading strategy. Copying trades from another person's account, even a family member or roommate, violates our Terms of Service and will result in the immediate closure of all associated accounts.
− ✅ Why Do We Have These Rules?

+ There is one critical exception to the limits above regarding Live Funded accounts: if any trader within a household has an active Top One Futures Live Funded account, no additional Sim Funded accounts are allowed for that household whatsoever. This restriction is strictly enforced. If one person in your home transitions to a Live Funded account, no one else in the household may activate or trade on a Sim Funded account.
+ Copy trading restrictions
+ While multiple individuals in a household can have their own accounts (subject to the limits above), copy trading between different users is strictly prohibited. This rule applies regardless of whether the users reside in the same household or not. Each trader must execute their own independent trading strategy. Copying trades from another person's account, even a family member or roommate, violates our Terms of Service and will result in the immediate closure of all associated accounts.
+ Why do we have these rules?
Household limits and copy trading restrictions are standard industry practices designed to protect the integrity of the trading ecosystem. They ensure a level playing field, maintain transparency, and prevent excessive multi-account manipulation or coordinated rolling/churning strategies from a single location.
Section: Why do we have these rules?
− It is the responsibility of the traders within the household to monitor their combined active account count and trading activity to ensure compliance with these limits.

− At Top One Futures, we implement a drawdown lock to help traders protect their profits as they progress in their sim funded accounts. This feature allows traders to build their account without worrying about their drawdown continuing to trail indefinitely, providing more stability and security as they withdraw funds.
− When Does My Drawdown Lock Based on Profits Achieved?
− Once you reach the amount of your total drawdown in profits plus $100, the drawdown locks in at your starting balance and no longer trails with your account growth.
− Instant Sim Funded Examples:
− On a 25K account, your max drawdown is $1,000. Once your balance reaches $26,100, the drawdown locks at $25,100 and no longer trails.
− On a 50K account, your max drawdown is $2,000. Once your balance reaches $52,100, the drawdown locks at $50,100 and no longer trails.
− On a 100K account, your max drawdown is $4,000. Once your balance reaches $104,100, the drawdown locks at $104,100.
− On a 150K account, your max drawdown is $5,250. Once your balance reaches $155,350, the drawdown locks at $150,100.
− Elite Sim Funded Examples:
− On a 50K account, your max drawdown is $2,000. Once your balance reaches $52,100, the drawdown locks at $50,100 and no longer trails.
− On a 100K account, your max drawdown is $3,000. Once your balance reaches $103,100, the drawdown locks at $100,100.
− On a 150K account, your max drawdown is $4,500. Once your balance reaches $154,600, the drawdown locks at $150,100.
− Lock Upon Payout
− Upon trader's first payout, your maximum trailing drawdown will also lock in at the starting balance +$100. From the moment you make a payout, the drawdown no longer trails with your account growth, regardless of how much you continue to grow your account. Click Here to read the full FAQ to understand this rule.
− Final Thoughts
− The drawdown lock at Top One Futures is designed to reward profitable traders while maintaining responsible risk management. By locking in at $100 above the starting balance after a payout, traders can protect their earnings and continue trading with confidence.

− How Is It Calculated?
− The Daily Loss Limit is a dynamic value calculated based on your previous day's closing balance.
− Let's use an example to illustrate:
− - Rule: The daily loss allowed is $625.
− - Previous Day's Close: Let's say you ended the previous day with a balance of $26,000.
− To find your breach level for the current day, you simply subtract the allowed loss from that balance:
− $26,000 (Previous Close) - $625 (Daily Loss) = $25,375
− This means that if your account's equity drops to $25,375 at any point during the current trading day, the system will automatically execute market orders to liquidate all of your open positions.
− ⚠️ Important Disclaimer:
− The Daily Drawdown Limit (DLL) is a risk management tool, not a stop loss. It should never be relied on to close your trades at a specific loss amount.
− Due to market volatility, slippage, and execution speed, the DLL can execute late, early, at a different price than you expect, or fail to trigger.
− If you want to control your risk as best as possible, you must place hard stop loss orders directly on your trades. Relying solely on the DLL can result in losing more than intended.
− Top One Futures is not responsible for any losses that exceed the daily drawdown limit. Any loss beyond your allowed threshold is the trader’s responsibility.
− What Happens If You Hit the Daily Drawdown?
− - Soft Breach: Trading is paused for the rest of the day.
− - Resume Trading: You can continue the next day, as long as your account hasn’t exceeded the Max Trailing Drawdown.
− - Note on Session Open: When the new trading session starts, account reactivation is not instantaneous. System processing may take up to 5-10 minutes before trading is re-enabled.

$150,000$5,250$155,350$150,100
+ Example ($50,000 account): your max drawdown is $2,000. Once your balance reaches $52,100, the drawdown locks at $50,100 and no longer trails.
+ The drawdown trails your highest end-of-day balance, never moves down, and locks at starting balance + $100 once your profit reaches the drawdown amount + $100. Falling below it is a breach.

+ At Top One Futures, we prioritize disciplined and sustainable trading. One of our key risk management guidelines on Instant Sim Funded accounts is the Consistency Rule, set at 20%. This article explains what the rule is, how it is calculated, and how you can stay within it.
What is the Consistency Rule?
Section: What is the Consistency Rule?
− The Consistency Rule requires that no single trading day accounts for more than 20% of your total profits. After a payout is taken on an Instant Sim Funded account, your total profits reset, and the consistency rule begins again based on new profits moving forward. This ensures that traders demonstrate steady performance rather than relying on one or two highly volatile trading sessions.
− Please Note: For the purposes of consistency rule calculation, a trading day ends at 5:00pm EST.
− How is the 20% Consistency Rule Calculated?
− The rule is based on your total profits over the entire period of having your account. No single day’s profit should exceed 20% of the total profits made.
− For example:
− - If your total profit is $10,000, then no single trading day should account for more than $2,000 (20% of $10,000).
− - If one of your trading days results in a $3,000 profit while your total profits are $10,000, you wouldn’t meet the consistency rule, and would not be eligible for a payout.
− Example: Passing the Consistency Rule
− Let’s say you’re trading a $100K account and earn the following profits:
−
Trading DayProfit
+ The Consistency Rule requires that no single trading day accounts for more than 20% of your total profits at the time of a payout request. Your consistency score is calculated as your highest profit day divided by your total profits, and it must be 20% or lower before a payout can be approved.

+ How is the Consistency Rule calculated?
+ Divide your highest profit day by your total profits. If your total profits are $10,000, your highest single trading day may not exceed $2,000 (20%). A day of $3,000 on the same total would be 30%, so the account would not yet be eligible for a payout. You would need to continue trading until total profits reach at least $15,000, bringing that day back to 20%.
+ Example of a passing scenario
+ A trader has the following profit days:
+
Trading dayProfit
Day 1$1,800
Day 2$2,000
Day 4$2,000
Day 5$2,300
Section: Example of a passing scenario
− Total Profit = $10,000
− Highest Day = $2,300
− Now calculate your consistency score:
− $2,300 ÷ $10,000 × 100 = 23%
− ❌ In this case, your highest day makes up exactly 23% of your total profit, which does not meet the consistency rule.
− If, on your next trading day, you profit $1,500. Now your total profits are $11,500.
− Total Profit = $11,500
− Highest Day = $2,300
− Now calculate your consistency score:
− $2,300 ÷ $11,500 × 100 = 20%
− ✅ In this case, your highest day makes up exactly 20% of your total profit, making you eligible for a payout.
− How Can I Ensure Compliance with the Consistency Rule?
− - Plan your trades carefully to avoid making excessive profits in a single day.
− - Spread your gains evenly over multiple trading days.
− - Avoid trading with high-risk or taking highly volatile trades that can lead to outsized profits.
− - Monitor your progress regularly to ensure no single trading day surpasses the 20% threshold.
+
Total$10,000
+ The highest day is $2,300, which is 23% of $10,000, so the trader does not pass yet. After adding another $1,500 in profit (total $11,500), the $2,300 day drops to 20% and the account becomes eligible for a payout.
+ Tips to stay within the rule
+ - Plan your trades: avoid chasing oversized gains on a single day.
+ - Spread your gains: consistent, moderate profits across multiple days keep your score low.
+ - Avoid high risk exposure: large positions can produce one outsized day that blocks your payout.
+ - Monitor your score: track your highest day against your total profits before requesting a payout.
+ Please note: the Consistency Rule does not fail or close your account. If your highest day exceeds 20% of total profits, simply keep trading with consistent results until the ratio is back at 20% or lower, then request your payout.
