Your morning update on futures prop firm rule changes, refreshed overnight.
We track the published rules and policies of 32 futures prop firms and keep every version, so when a firm edits a rule we have the before and after in writing. Most of what changes is really nothing: a fixed typo, a clarified sentence, a word added here and there. But real changes stand out fast, and you can literally watch rules and policies tighten line by line. Payout terms creep, consistency thresholds drop, and prices quietly climb. It works the other way too: sometimes payouts improve and rules loosen, and when that happens it’s usually one of our Premier firms.
Most of the tightening shows up on the Unlisted side, firms we track but haven’t listed on PickAPropFirm.com. When a firm with a rough reputation starts gaining traction on rock-bottom prices, promoted by affiliates who would scam their own grandma for a commission, the discount usually costs you somewhere else, and that somewhere shows up here. If a plan looks too good to be true, it almost always is.
Starred changes are the ones we think deserve your attention; the full feed below is everything we caught, right down to the typo fixes.
Treat this page like your morning paper. It updates overnight, so grab your coffee and see what changed. – Jmu (@jmutrades)
We split that step out and call it the Buffer Zone. It is where you build the balance that carries into your Sim Funded account, and it is deliberately gentler than the evaluation you just passed: a smaller target and no daily loss limit.
Account size | Profit target | Drawdown | Consistency | Largest single day
And if you fail it, you reset the Buffer Zone on its own. Your evaluation still stands — you never go back to the beginning. Resets are $250 each for the first three, then $300 for resets four to six, $350 for seven to nine, and so on. If your Buffer Zone had already passed into Sim Funded, a reset is $500. These are the Propel Buffer Zone reset prices.
Phase 3 — Sim Funded
Your account is still simulated, but the profits are real and you can withdraw them. There is no profit target here — the job is to keep trading well.
Payouts can be requested daily, Monday to Friday, on any balance above your starting balance. Requests made before 11am ET are processed the same trading day. While Sim Funded, stop trading for the day once you are $5,000 up and for the week once you are $10,000 up — passing $10,000 in total profit triggers a review for Live Brokerage, where the caps come off entirely.
Nothing is charged during this phase. Your subscription ended at the evaluation.
How the consistency rule works
The consistency rule keeps your biggest day in proportion to the rest of your trading. We compare your largest single profitable day against the sum of your profitable days. Losing days are left out of the calculation entirely — many firms divide by your net profit instead, which shrinks the number you are measured against and makes the rule harder to satisfy.
Here is a week counted both ways. Say you made $1,000 on Monday, $900 on Tuesday, lost $600 on Wednesday, then made $900 on Thursday and $600 on Friday:
- At BluSky we add up your profitable days: $1,000 + $900 + $900 + $600 = $3,400. Your biggest day of $1,000 is 29.4% of that — inside the 34% rule. ✅
- Counting net profit instead subtracts the losing day: $3,400 − $600 = $2,800. The same $1,000 day is now 35.7% — outside the same rule. ❌
The 300K works to a 21% rule instead, so the same week would need your profit spread across more days to comply.
Being out of consistency does not fail your account. It is checked when you request a payout or try to pass a phase, and you fix it by trading on — every additional profitable day grows the total you are measured against and brings your percentage down.
Resetting a Propel evaluation
Most traders do not pass first time. A reset clears the days traded, the balance and the rules by creating a fresh evaluation account, so you can try again without buying a new plan.

Both options share the same risk logic. Option 1 uses the trailing drawdown. Option 2 uses the end-of-day drawdown together with a daily loss limit and has no scaling plan.
On both options the drawdown follows the balance upward and then stops for good once it reaches the starting balance plus $100. From that point it is a fixed floor and no longer moves.
On Option 2 the daily loss limit stays active for the whole life of the account and is never lifted. The $25,000 Option 2 account is the exception: it has no daily loss limit.

FUnlistedFutures Elite · Payouts | FuturesElite FAQupdatedFuturesAdded section explaining payout caps: first three payouts capped at $2,000, $2,500, and $2,800 respectively across all account sizes.Aug 5
You must build the full buffer for your size ($2,100, $3,100, or $4,600 above the starting balance) plus at least $500 above it, so your balance must reach $52,600, $103,600, or $155,100 for the first request. Your first payout becomes available 24 hours after your first trade on the Sim Funded account, provided those conditions
First payout requires balance (buffer plus $500) | $52,600 | $103,600 | $155,100
Minimum payout request | $500 | $500 | $500
Section: Are There Payout Caps?
Can I withdraw the buffer itself?
No. The buffer must remain in the account at all times. It is never withdrawable. Only net profit above the buffer is eligible for payout requests. Example on Nitro 50K: with a balance of $52,700, your withdrawable amount is $600.
How much net profit do I need since my last payout to request another one?
Just $1 of new net profit above your maintained buffer. The only other constraint is the $500 minimum payout request.
How often can I get paid?
Every 24 hours, as long as you have at least $500 withdrawable above the buffer.
What is the profit split on Nitro?
90 percent to the trader, 10 percent to the firm, at every size, at both the Sim Funded and Live stages.
What is the difference between the three Nitro sizes?
Profit target, Max Loss Limit, buffer, contract limits, and the Maximum Daily Profit all scale with account size, though not in direct proportion. The $1 rule, the $500 minimum request, the split, and all mechanics are identica

FUnlistedFutures Elite · Minimum trading days must reflect genuine discretionary trading | FuturesElite FAQupdatedFuturesArticle reorganized with expanded explanation of concentration rule; minimum qualifying trading days unchanged at 5 and 7; review process clarified.Jul 29
− The minimum trading day requirement exists so that a funded account demonstrates real, repeatable trading rather than a single lucky outcome. Making effectively your entire payout on one trade, or one oversized burst, and then placing only token trades to clock the remaining minimum days is a gamification of that requirement and is not accepted. In the same way a challenge may not be passed with one trade carrying more than 90% of the target, a funded payout may not be built almost entirely on a single position with the minimum days padded out afterward.
− We expect the profit on a funded account to come from a genuine discretionary process across your qualifying days. Accounts where nearly all of the profit comes from one trade, followed by minimal or placeholder activity to satisfy the day count, will prompt a review before any payout is released. As part of that review we will look at whether the same pattern has been used across your other simulated funded accounts, and we will reach out to you so you can share context before a final decision is made.

Section: Why this rule exists
+ Why this rule exists
+ The minimum trading day requirement is designed to confirm that a funded account is the product of a real, repeatable trading process, not a single fortunate outcome. A trader who earns almost their entire payout from one trade, or from one oversized burst of activity, and then places only token trades to fill out the remaining required days has not demonstrated the kind of consistent decision making the funded program is meant to reward.
+ This same principle carries into the funded stage. A payout should reflect profit built across a meaningful number of qualifying days of genuine trading, not one outsized position followed by placeholder activity used only to satisfy a day count.
+ We want to be clear that this rule is not about penalizing a great trade. Traders are allowed to have a standout day. What we are checking for is whether that standout day sits inside a broader pattern of real trading, or whether it is the entire pattern, padded out afterward with trades that carry no meaningful risk or intent.
+ How concentration is measured
+ At the time a payout is requested, we look at what share of the account's total profit came from its single best trade. Accounts across all sizes, 50k, 100k, and 150k, are held to this same standard. There is no fixed cutoff that automatically triggers a review. Instead, our team looks at the overall picture: how the profit is spread across trades, how the account's trading days compare in size and frequency, and whether the pattern looks like ongoing decision making or like one outcome followed by minimal activity meant to fill out the required days. Minimum qualifying trading days remain at 5 for the 50k and 100k tiers and 7 for the 150k tier.
+ Judgment is applied case by case rather than through a single hard number, because concentration alone does not tell the whole story. A trader who has one standout trade in an otherwise normal trading history is treated very differently from a trader whose entire payout rests on one position with nothing else of substance around it.
+ What happens during review
+ If an account is flagged under this rule, here is what a trader can expect:
+ - The payout is paused, not denied, pending review.
+ - We examine whether the same pattern (one dominant trade followed by minimal or token activity) appears on the trader's other simulated funded accounts, since a pattern repeated across accounts is treated differently from an isolated instance.
Section: Why this rule exists
− The minimum trading day requirement exists so that a funded account demonstrates real, repeatable trading rather than a single lucky outcome. Making effectively your entire payout on one trade, or one oversized burst, and then placing only token trades to clock the remaining minimum days is a gamification of that requirement and is not accepted. In the same way a challenge may not be passed with one trade carrying more than 90% of the target, a funded payout may not be built almost entirely on a single position with the minimum days padded out afterward.
