Prop Firm Rule Changes. Tracked Daily.

Your morning update on futures prop firm rule changes, refreshed overnight.

We track the published rules and policies of 29 futures prop firms and keep every version, so when a firm edits a rule we have the before and after in writing. Most of what changes is really nothing: a fixed typo, a clarified sentence, a word added here and there. But real changes stand out fast, and you can literally watch rules and policies tighten line by line. Payout terms creep, consistency thresholds drop, and prices quietly climb. It works the other way too: sometimes payouts improve and rules loosen, and when that happens it’s usually one of our Premier firms.

Most of the tightening shows up on the Unlisted side, firms we track but haven’t listed on PickAPropFirm.com. When a firm with a rough reputation starts gaining traction on rock-bottom prices, promoted by affiliates who would scam their own grandma for a commission, the discount usually costs you somewhere else, and that somewhere shows up here. If a plan looks too good to be true, it almost always is.

Starred changes are the ones we think deserve your attention; the full feed below is everything we caught, right down to the typo fixes.

Treat this page like your morning paper. It updates overnight, so grab your coffee and see what changed. – Jmu (@jmutrades)

+ To unlock the remaining accounts, the first active account must lock the drawdown or the account must be blown. This will be repeated until the trader has activated all 5 S2L accounts.

No. The consistency percentage is not calculated based on your account size or account balance. It is calculated based on your profits.
- For example, if you have a $100K account, the 40% rule does not mean you are capped at making 40% of the account size ($40,000) in a single day
- It means your best trading day cannot represent more than 40% of the total profits you are trying to withdraw or use for scale-up eligibility.
+ For example, if you have a $100K account, the 50% rule does not mean you are capped at making 50% of the account size ($50,000) in a single day.
+ It means your best trading day cannot represent more than 50% of the total profits you are trying to withdraw or use for scale-up eligibility.
  Quick example
- If your account has a 40% Consistency Rule:
+ If your account has a 50% Consistency Rule:
  - Best trading day: $5,000
- - Required total profit: $12,500
- - Because: $5,000 ÷ 40% = $12,500
- If your total profit is below $12,500, you need to continue trading until your total profit reaches the required amount.
+ - Required total profit: $10,000
+ (Because: $5,000 ÷ 50% = $10,000)
+ If your total profit is below $10,000, you need to continue trading until your total profit reaches the required amount.

+ Modified on Wed, 5 Aug at 10:07 AM
TradeDay LLC is a trading education, and trader evaluation company.
It was established in 2020 and is registered in Illinois, USA. TradeDay also has a presence in the UK.
· · ·
From speaking to our traders, this is the feedback we have gotten on why they choose TradeDay over its competitors:
  - We have the best payout policy in the industry - we checked!
- - We don’t change the Trailing Maximum Drawdown Limit on you when you are funded - Unlike some other prop firms, your funded account will look exactly like your evaluation account.
- - There is only one rule at TradeDay - Don’t break the Trailing Maximum Drawdown Limit.
+ - No activation fees. Once you successfully complete your evaluation, there are no additional activation fees required to access your funded account.
+ - Your drawdown rules remain transparent after passing. For Fast Pass accounts, your funded account maintains the same Trailing Maximum Drawdown Limit as your evaluation account. For Quick Pay accounts, once you pass, you move into a Funded Sim account with an intraday drawdown structure, which may differ from the drawdown rules applied during evaluation.
  - We are trusted - We have been in business since 2020 and make payouts daily.
  - We supply our members with the tools they need to succeed - inside our members area, you will find a wealth of resources to help you find your edge in the market.

  Avoid Windfall Strategies
Proper risk management means avoiding reckless trading behaviors, such as:
- - "All-in" Trading: Using maximum contract sizes to chase a "big win" early in the Funded Account evaluation process, with the hope of overcoming the trailing drawdown, then downsizing later. This is not a sustainable or responsible trading strategy—it’s gambling.

+ - If you select Liquidate Only when setting your PDLL/PDPT, when of these violations fires on a follower, that account does get dropped from the copier before it's flattened.
+ - If you select Liquidate and Block when setting your PDLL/PDPT, when one of these violations fires on a follower, the account is locked out. It auto-resumes the next trading and does not get removed from Trade Copier.
+ - If the Scaling plan does not match between the Leader and followers - follower account will be automatically removed at the start of the trading day
  - When a Payout request is submitted, Follower accounts are automatically unlinked. Check your settings at the start of every session.

TL;DR: The maximum loss limit (MLL) at FundedNext Futures is the total loss allowed before an account is permanently breached. It follows a trailing end-of-day (EOD) system, updating once per day based on the highest balance reached, moving up with profits but never decreasing with losses. Once the MLL reaches the initial account balance, it locks and no longer increases (For Bolt, Flex and Rapid Pro and Daily It locks at initial balance + $100). If equity falls below the MLL at any time, the account is breached.
The maximum loss limit is the total amount a trader can lose in their Futures Challenge or FundedNext Account before their account is restricted from further trading. The maximum loss limit (MLL) follows a trailing end-of-day (EOD) system. This means it updates once per day, based on the highest balance your account reached that day. It doesn't change in real-time but adjusts at the end of each trading day.
- For a detailed walkthrough, please refer to the video below. Where the general trailing drawdown is explained.

Questions

What is Rule Radar?

Rule Radar is our daily record of rule and policy changes across 29 futures prop firms. When a firm edits a rule, adds a page, or deletes one, the change shows up here with the exact lines that changed.

How often does it update?

Daily. New changes land by early morning US time, so check it like a morning paper.

Where does the data come from?

Straight from each firm’s own published pages. We keep every version and compare them line by line, so nothing here is secondhand.

What does a starred change mean?

A starred change is one we think actually matters, like payout terms, rule tightening, or pricing. Most edits are typos and clarifications, and those stay in the full feed above.
