Account size | Max contracts
$50,000 | 5 minis (50 micros)
$100,000 | 10 minis (100 micros)
$150,000 | 15 minis (150 micros)
Funded account: contract scaling
On the funded account your contract limit scales with your profit. You start at Level 1 and unlock more contracts as your balance grows.
Level | $50,000 | $100,000 | $150,000
Level 1 (start) | 2 minis (20 micros) | 4 minis (40 micros) | 6 minis (60 micros)
Level 2 | 3 minis (30 micros) from +$1,000 | 6 minis (60 micros) from +$1,000 | 8 minis (80 micros) from +$1,500
Level 3 | 4 minis (40 micros) from +$2,000 | 8 minis (80 micros) from +$2,000 | 10 minis (100 micros) from +$3,000
Level 4 | – | – | 12 minis (120 micros) from +$4,500
Your level is checked at the end of each trading day, based on your profit (closing balance minus starting balance).
How scaling works
Once your account is funded, your maximum contract size increases as your account grows. Your allowed contract size is determined by your end-of-day (EOD) closing balance and updates once per trading day.
Key principles
- Scaling applies only to funded accounts. There are no scaling rules during the evaluation.
- Contract limits update once per day (EOD).
- Scaling is based on simulated profit.
- You must stay within your allowed contract size at all times.
How scaling is calculated
Your level is determined by your funded account's end-of-day closing balance, in other words your total simulated profit (closing balance minus starting balance).
Contract increases are applied the following trading day once your closing balance qualifies.
- Intraday profits do not unlock a higher level.
- Only end-of-day results are used.
Your level can also go down
Scaling works in both directions. If your end-of-day balance drops below the threshold for your current level, your contract limit is reduced to the matching lower level from the following trading day. This also applies after a payout: a payout lowers your balance, so your level is recalculated from the new balance.
Example ($50,000 account): You close a day at $52,100, which puts you on Level 3 (4 minis). The next day you close at $51,500. From the following trading day your limit is Level 2 (3 minis) again.
Trader responsibility
It is your responsibility to monitor and follow the contract scaling rules at all times. Exceeding your allowed contract size is a rule violation. If scaling rules are not followed:
- Trades may be rejected or reduced
- The account may be flagged for review
- Profits from violating trades may be removed
- Payout requests may be denied
Compliance with scaling rules is required for payout eligibility.
Important clarifications
- Scaling applies per individual account. Contract limits do not combine across accounts.
- Scaling is based on simulated profit only.
- Limits are determined using the end-of-day balance.
- Scaling does not override other risk rules such as the Daily Loss Limit (DLL) and the Maximum Loss Limit (MLL).
