The approval process
- Immediate commission approval: once your referred trader starts trading, your commission is approved immediately.
- Automatic approval (fallback): if the trader does not start trading, FTMO commissions are approved automatically 14 days after the purchase date, matching the 14-day refund window. FTMO US has no refunds, so its commissions are approved without a refund holding period.
- FTMO Futures renewals: each monthly subscription payment after the first is approved immediately. The holding period applies only to the trader’s first subscription payment.
- Account Resets: commission on an Account Reset is approved immediately on purchase.
Understanding each commission status
- Order not paid: an order was created using your link, but we have not yet received payment from the trader.
- Processing: the trader has paid, and the commission is in the holding period awaiting approval.
- Accepted: the commission has been approved and is now in your balance, ready to be paid out.
- Rejected: the commission was not approved. A commission will be rejected if the order was cancelled or not paid, or if we manually rejected it for a rule violation, such as using an unauthorised promotion or attempting a self-referral.

Understanding each commission status
- Order not paid: an order was created using your link, but we have not yet received payment from the trader.
- Processing: the trader has paid, and the commission is in the holding period awaiting approval.
- Accepted: the commission has been approved and is now in your balance, ready to be paid out.
- Rejected: the commission was not approved. A commission will be rejected if the order was cancelled or not paid, or if we manually rejected it for a rule violation, such as using an unauthorised promotion or attempting a self-referral.

Every commission you earn goes through an approval process before it is ready for payout. The process is the same in both programmes, with one difference in the fallback step, because the two programmes have different refund policies. In your Affiliate Dashboard, you will see a status for each commission indicating its current stage.
