Most individual retail traders should select Non-Professional. You qualify as non-professional if you:
- Are an individual (not a company or institution).
- Use market data for personal trading only.
- Are not registered with any securities regulatory body (e.g., SEC, FINRA, NFA).
- Do not work for a financial services firm that requires registration.
Please note that if you self-certify as a professional, you will be unable to trade with us. Professional market data costs $540 per month — despite being the exact same data — and is not something we are able to cover.
If you're unsure, review the CME's professional subscriber definition or consult a compliance advisor.
