Stop-Loss Usage
A Stop-Loss order is a valuable risk management tool designed to limit potential losses by automatically closing a trade when the price reaches a predetermined level.
Section: Stop-Loss Usage
− On Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) accounts, the risk per trade idea should not exceed 1% of the initial account balance (for DX Futures) and 2% of the initial account balance (for Tradovate, NinjaTrader and WealthCharts). A Stop Loss is mandatory on every trade. Trades without Stop Loss are considered to have infinite risk. If the floating (unrealized) loss on such a trade or trade idea exceeds 2%/1% (DX Futures) of the initial account balance at any time, the account will be terminated.

Trading Rules - Account Violations
This rule applies exclusively to Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts and Direct Accounts. It does not apply during the Challenge phase. A violation of this rule is considered a hard breach and will result in account termination.
Stop Loss Requirement
Section: Example 3: Locking at Initial Balance
− Risk is determined by the maximum potential loss on a trade based on the stop loss placement.
− - A Stop Loss is mandatory on every trade. Trades without Stop Loss are considered to have infinite risk. If the floating (unrealized) loss on such a trade or trade idea exceeds 2% /1% (DX Futures) of the initial account balance at any time, the account will be terminated.
+ "Risk" refers to the maximum amount at stake on a trade or trade idea, determined by the stop-loss placement. A Stop Loss (SL) is mandatory on every trade.
+ - Only the risk taken matters, not the loss: If an SL is set within the 2% risk limit, any additional loss caused by price differences will not be considered in risk calculation.
+ - A floating or realized loss exceeding 2% on a trade or trade idea without an SL will be considered a breach.
- Failure to comply with this requirement constitutes a hard breach and result in account termination.
Once the stop loss requirement is met, risk is assessed based on the Single Trade Idea rule. This includes

Starting Balance = $50,000
- Scenario: Your previous day’s end-of-day balance reaches $51,000 (New High Water Mark).
Section: Example 2: The Moving High Water Mark

Important: If you then close a trade with a $500 loss and your balance drops to $50,500, your limit remains at $49,000 because the drawdown trails the peak (High Water Mark), not the current balance.

There is no restriction for trading during any news hours, allowing traders to take advantage of market volatility and execute trades without restrictions during high-impact news events. However, such a trading style is not generally recommended due to the increased risks associated with price gaps & potential slippage due to unpredictable price movements.
Weekend Holding
Section: Weekend Holding
− Holding trades over the weekends is not allowed and is considered a hard breach. Trading resumes each day at 5:00 PM CT Monday to Friday and after the weekend on Sunday at 5:00 PM CT, unless a CME holiday is observed.
− Ensure all trades are closed before 3:30 PM CT on Friday, or they will be automatically closed by the system, and the account will be terminated. Once closed, these accounts cannot be reopened or reset.

Note 3.2 & 3.3: Some futures contracts(Mostly agricultural) close prior to 3:30 PM CT. For such instruments, positions must be closed before their respective markets close.
Example Trading Hours:
For example, the highest profit earned in a day is $7,500, and the total profit earned so far is $25,000, then the Consistency score = (7500/25000)*100 = 30%. In this case, the trader must keep trading and earn a total profit of at least $37,500 (Additional profit of $12,500), so that the consistency score is brought down to 20%.
Overnight holding
Section: Overnight holding
− Overnight holding of positions is not permitted; all trades must be closed before 3:30 PM CT Monday through Friday, 30 minutes before the daily CME Break. It remains the trader's responsibility to close the positions by 3:28 PM CT. Otherwise, our Risk Management Team will begin closing positions at 3:28 PM CT.

Overview
The Hola Prime Direct Account is a fast-track access model for experienced traders who want to start in a Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account without any evaluation phases, profit targets, or minimum trading days. Instead of progressing through a challenge, you begin directly in a funded-style simulated environment and can start earning from Day 1, provided you follow all Direct Account trading rules and risk parameters.
How the Direct Model Works
Direct Access Structure
Under the Direct model, you purchase immediate access to a Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account rather than subscribing to a multi-step evaluation. There is no challenge phase to pass, no profit target to hit, and no minimum trading-day requirement to fulfill before you can trade and request payouts (as per the payout policy).
Same Trading Environment, Different Path
Functionally, the Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account issued under the Direct model uses the same simulated trading environment as accounts issued through the Prime challenges.
- Order routing and execution behavior are the same.
- Pricing, commissions, and product access mirror the standard Hola Prime setup.
- Platform conditions and experience remain consistent for all Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account
The key difference is in the rule set and objectives attached to the account, not the underlying technology.
Direct Rules vs. Challenge Rules
- Challenge-based Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Accounts (after passing Prime) inherit most of the challenge rules and structure.
- Direct Accounts operate under a separate rule set, designed for professional and experienced traders who are granted full earning potential from Day 1.
These Direct rules (detailed on the Hola Prime Futures Trading Rules page) include additional conditions because there are no evaluation phases and no profit targets, yet you can start earning immediately.
Pricing Rationale
The Direct Account is more expensive than standard challenges because it skips evaluation entirely and places you straight into a Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account. You pay a premium for:
- Bypassing multiple evaluation steps
- Avoiding time spent passing challenges
- Gaining instant access to a funded-style account from the outset
For traders who value speed and certainty, the higher price reflects this accelerated path and immediate access.
Risk Management Expectations
Stop-Loss Usage
A Stop-Loss order is a valuable risk management tool designed to limit potential losses by automatically closing a trade when the price reaches a predetermined level.
On Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) accounts, the risk per trade idea should not exceed 1% of the initial account balance (for DX Futures) and 2% of the initial account balance (for Tradovate, NinjaTrader and WealthCharts). Therefore, traders are required to define this risk by placing a stop loss within 3 minutes of opening a position or prior to closing the position, whichever occurs earlier.
Traders who implement stop losses tend to achieve greater long-term success compared to those who don’t. Therefore, we strongly recommend incorporating stop losses into your trading.
Trading Rules - Account Violations
Daily Loss Limit
Daily Loss Limit is the maximum amount a trader is allowed to lose in a day. For the Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account issued under the Direct Model, this limit is set at 2.5% of the previous day's closing balance. It is a soft breach. In case a client reaches or surpasses the daily loss limit, then trading will be temporarily disabled until the following day, and any open trades will be automatically closed.
The Formula: Daily Loss Limit = Previous Day's Closing Balance - (Previous Day's Closing Balance × 2.5%)
Calculation: The loss for the day is the sum of your current floating PnL plus the total PnL of closed trades for that day.
Example 1: Setting the Daily Limit
Starting Balance = $100,000
- Scenario: At the end of Day 2, your closing balance is $110,000.
- Calculation: 2.5% of $110,000 is $2,500.
- The Limit: On Day 3, your equity can never drop below $107,500 ($110,000 – $2,500).
- Outcome: If your equity falls below $107,500 at any moment, the account is terminated.
Example 2: Impact of Intraday Profit
Starting Balance = $100,000
- Scenario: You start Day 3 with a $2,500 limit, but you make an intraday profit of $7,000.
- New Allowance: Your allowable loss for that day increases to $9,500 ($2,500 base limit + $7,000 profit).
- The Rule: This allows you more breathing room during the day, provided your equity stays above the breach level.
Example 3: Realized vs. Floating Loss
Starting Balance = $100,000
- Scenario: You realize a loss of $1,000 during the day and then open a new trade.
- Calculation: You have $1,500 of your daily limit remaining ($2,500 total – $1,000 already lost).
- The Breach: If your new running trade reaches a floating loss of $1,500, your account will breach the daily limit.
Important: The rule applies to both realized losses and floating (open) losses combined within a single trading day.
Daily Reset Timer: The Daily Loss Limit resets every day at 17:00 EST server time. You can always monitor the reset timer on your Hola Prime dashboard to see exactly when your daily loss limit resets. `
Max. Loss Limit (Trailing):
The Max. Loss Limit (Trailing) is the amount your account's equity or balance can't go below. For Direct Accounts, this limit is set at 4% of your initial account balance. This 4% trails the High Water Mark until the trader reaches 4% profits in the account. Once they have achieved 4% profit in the account, the max trailing lock in at the starting balance and no longer trails the account.
The Formula
Max. Loss Limit (Trailing) = High Water Mark – (Initial Balance × 4%)
Example 1: Initial Setup
Starting Balance = $50,000
- Calculation: 4% of $50,000 is $2,000.
- The Limit: Your account equity or balance can never drop below $48,000 ($50,000 – $2,000).
Example 2: The Moving High Water Mark
Starting Balance = $50,000
- Scenario: Your previous day’s end-of-day balance reaches $51,000 (New High Water Mark).
- New Limit: Your max. Loss limit (trailing) moves up to $98,000 ($102,000 – $4,000).
Important: If you then close a trade with a $500 loss and your balance drops to $50,500, your limit remains at $49,000 because the drawdown trails the peak (High Water Mark), not the current balance.
Example 3: Locking at Initial Balance
Starting Balance = $50,000
- Scenario: Your previous day’s end-of-day balance reaches $52,000 (4% growth).
- Locked Limit: Your max loss limit (trailing) is now locked at your starting balance of $100,000.
- Outcome: Whether it is day 1 or day 50, if your equity or balance falls below $50,000, the account is terminated.
Risk Rule (Funded & Direct Accounts)
Your risk per trade idea should not exceed 1% of the account size (initial balance) in DX futures platform and a 2% risk of initial account balance on Tradovate, Ninjatrader and WealthCharts platforms. This includes:
- Single Trade Idea
- Layering/Splitting Positions
- The 10-Minute Re-entry Rule
This rule applies exclusively to Hola Prime (Funded or Direct) Accounts and does not extend to the Challenge phase. Violating this rule is considered a hard breach and will lead to the closure of your account.
-
Single Trade Idea
The total risk on a single trade idea must not exceed 1% of the initial account balance (for DX Futures) and 2% of the initial account balance (for Tradovate, NinjaTrader and WealthCharts).
For example, on a $100,000 DX Futures account, your maximum allowed risk for one trade idea is $1,000.
-
Layering/Splitting Positions
If you open multiple positions on the same assets, same direction, with overlapping time, they are collectively treated as one single trade idea. This includes multiple entries opened and/or closed at different times.
Any continuous sequence or chain of such overlapping positions will also be treated as one single trade idea for risk calculation purposes.
In DX Futures, the combined risk of all these positions cannot exceed the 1% limit.
In Tradovate, NinjaTrader and WealthCharts, the combined risk of all these positions cannot exceed the 2% limit.
-
The 10-Minute Re-entry Rule
If you close a position and then open a new one in the same direction on the same assets within 10 minutes, the system considers this a continuation of the same trade idea.
Any continuous sequence or chain of such closely timed positions will also be treated as one single trade idea for risk calculation purposes.
In DX Futures, the combined risk of all these positions cannot exceed the 1% limit.
In Tradovate, NinjaTrader and WealthCharts, their cumulative risk is tracked against the 2% limit.
Important Note
- Stop loss must be placed within 3 minutes of opening a position or prior to closing the position, whichever occurs earlier.
- Breach of this rule will result in a hard breach and termination of the account.
Additional Guidelines
General risk management rules should always be followed, and traders should operate the account as if it were their own capital. Please refer to prohibited gambling behavior for further details.
News Trading
There is no restriction for trading during any news hours, allowing traders to take advantage of market volatility and execute trades without restrictions during high-impact news events. However, such a trading style is not generally recommended due to the increased risks associated with price gaps & potential slippage due to unpredictable price movements.
Weekend Holding
Holding trades over the weekends is not allowed and is considered a hard breach. Trading resumes each day at 5:00 PM CT Monday to Friday and after the weekend on Sunday at 5:00 PM CT, unless a CME holiday is observed.
Ensure all trades are closed before 3:30 PM CT on Friday, or they will be automatically closed by the system, and the account will be terminated. Once closed, these accounts cannot be reopened or reset.
Note 3.2 & 3.3: Some futures contracts(Mostly agricultural) close prior to 3:30 PM CT. For such instruments, positions must be closed before their respective markets close.
Example Trading Hours:
CBOT Commodities ( Corn, Wheat & Soybeans, etc.):
Sunday–Monday: 7:00 PM – 7:45 AM CT
Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:20 PM CT
CME Agricultural Products (Live Cattle, Lean Hogs):
Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:05 PM CT
Inactivity
If there is no trading activity in the Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account for more than a calendar week (from Sunday to Friday), the account will be subject to closure due to inactivity.
A traded day is counted only when at least one round-trip trade is fully completed on any permitted instrument, as opening a position without closing it on the same day does not qualify.
Trading Rules - Additional Guidelines
Consistency Rule
To receive the payment trader should ensure the profits across trades are meeting the consistency score.
The Consistency score should be up to 20%. The consistency score is calculated as follows:
Consistency Score = (Biggest Winning Day / Current Total Account Profit) × 100%. In simple words, it means that the biggest winning day cannot exceed 20% of the total profits made in the account. If the score exceeds 20%, the trader must continue trading until this score is reduced to 20% or lower.
Overnight holding of positions is not permitted; all trades must be closed before 3:30 PM CT Monday through Friday, 30 minutes before the daily CME Break. It remains the trader's responsibility to close the positions by 3:28 PM CT. Otherwise, our Risk Management Team will begin closing positions at 3:28 PM CT.
Minimum Trading Days
There are no minimum trading days in Direct Account. However, traders should keep in mind the inactivity period of 7 calendar days.
Rewards:
The trader can request a payout with a 90% profit split on a weekly basis after the first executed trade on their Hola Prime (Sim. Funded) Account, with each weekly cycle beginning after the first executed trade following a payout request.
The trader is entitled to a reward after fulfilling the payout conditions as follows:
Consistency Requirement
The Consistency score must not exceed 20%. The consistency score is calculated as follows: Consistency Score = (Biggest Winning Day / Current Total Account Profit) × 100. In simple words, it means that the biggest winning day cannot exceed 20% of the total profits made in the account. If the score exceeds 20%, the trader must continue trading until the Score is reduced to 20% or lower.
For example, the highest profit earned in a day is $7,500, and the total profit earned so far is $25,000, then the Consistency score = (7500/25000)*100% = 30%. In this case, the trader must keep trading and earn a total profit of at least $37,500 (Additional profit of $12,500), so that the consistency score is brought down to 20%.
