Hedging is prohibited within an account and across your accounts.
What counts as hedging
- Holding long and short positions in the same instrument at the same time, in one account or across your DayTraders accounts. For example, long NQ in one account and short NQ in another.
- Opposite positions in related or correlated instruments, such as long NQ in one account and short ES in another.
- Opposite positions coordinated with other people.
What's allowed
Trading with other firms is allowed, and so is copying the same trades across your own accounts.
Consequences
Trade execution across accounts and related instruments is monitored. If a prohibited strategy is confirmed, all accounts involved are closed and unpaid profits on them are forfeited. Serious or repeat violations lead to a full ban. Payouts approved before the finding are honored.
