How the Max Loss Works
The plan uses a trailing, balance-based Maximum Loss of 5% ($2,500) in both the evaluation and funded stages. There is no daily loss limit — only the trailing Maximum Loss applies.
Your account equity (balance plus unrealized P&L from open positions) cannot fall below the max drawdown floor at any time. The floor starts at $47,500 (starting balance minus 5%) and trails up with your highest closed-trade balance — it rises the moment a trade closes at a new high (intraday, not at the daily reset), is capped at your starting balance ($50,000), and only ever moves up. The breach check uses live equity, so an open losing trade can breach the account before you close it.
Example:
- You close a trade at a new high of $51,000 → the floor rises to $48,500 ($51,000 − $2,500).
- You close a trade at $52,500 → the floor rises to $50,000 and is now capped at your starting balance.
- Your balance climbs further → the floor stays at $50,000. It never exceeds the starting balance and never moves down.
Section: How the Max Loss Works
− The daily reset is at 22:00 UTC every day, including weekends.
+ The daily reset is at 22:00 UTC (5:00 PM ET in winter / 6:00 PM ET during Daylight Saving) every day, including weekends.
Consistency Rule (Evaluation Only)
During the evaluation, no single trading day can account for more than 40% of your total evaluation profits, checked when the profit target is reached. Being over the limit is not a breach — simply continue trading until your biggest day falls back within 40% of your total profits.
There is no consistency requirement on the funded stage.
How Daily Payouts Work
Once you reach the funded stage, you first need to build a $2,000 buffer (4% of the account).
- The $2,000 buffer cannot be withdrawn and must remain in the account.
- Once the buffer has been fully built, you can withdraw only profits above the buffer, up to the $1,500 Daily Payout Cap (3% of the account).
First payout cycle
Once the required $2,000 buffer has been fully built, you can request a payout of any eligible profit above the buffer, up to the $1,500 Daily Payout Cap.
| Example | Balance | Outcome |
|---|
Payout below the cap | $53,200 | Buffer $2,000 stays in the account; $1,200 above the buffer can be withdrawn ✓
Full Payout Cap | $55,000 | $3,000 above the buffer, capped — trader withdraws the full $1,500 cap; the remaining $1,500 of profit and the buffer stay in the account ✓

The One Step Daily plan is a promotional one-phase plan launched as part of The Forge series. Pass a single evaluation on a $50K account ($85) to reach the funded stage, where you can request Daily Payouts while keeping 80% of your profits. The plan is a limited run and is offered on one account size only.
For a comparison of all evaluation types, see the Evaluations Guide.
Note: this plan's rules differ from our standard 1-Step Evaluation. It uses a trailing max loss (the standard 1-Step is static), has no daily loss limit (the standard 1-Step has 3%), and carries a 40% consistency rule during the evaluation (the standard 1-Step has none). Use this guide, not the 1-Step Evaluations Guide, for this plan.

Buffer not reached | $51,500 | $1,500 profit is below the required $2,000 buffer — no payout yet ✕
Second payout cycle and beyond
After a payout is made, a new payout cycle begins.
- From the second payout cycle onward, you must generate at least $500 profit (1% of the account) during the new payout cycle before you can access Daily Payouts again.
- The $500 requirement is based on the profit generated during the new payout cycle. It is not the amount you are required to withdraw.
- Once the requirement has been met, you can withdraw eligible profits above the buffer, subject to the $1,500 Daily Payout Cap.
Examples:
- Exactly 1%: the trader generates $500 in the new cycle. That is exactly 1% of the account, so the requirement is met and Daily Payouts become available again. ✓
- Below 1%: the trader generates $400 in the new cycle. Another $100 of profit is needed before Daily Payouts become available again. ✕
- More than 1%: the trader generates $1,200, above the $500 requirement. Daily Payouts become available again; eligible profits above the buffer remain subject to the $1,500 Payout Cap. ✓
Larger profit in a cycle
$4,500 profit in a cycle. $2,000 is the buffer, $2,500 sits above the buffer and the maximum payout allowed is $1,500. The trader withdraws $1,500. After the payout, $1,000 of profit remains above the buffer — but that remaining $1,000 does not itself unlock the next Daily Payout. The trader must generate at least another $500 (1%) during the next payout cycle.
The rule in simple terms
- $2,000 buffer (4%): the amount that must remain in the account.
- $500 requirement (1%): from the second payout cycle onward, the amount of new profit that must be generated during the new cycle before Daily Payouts become available again.
- $1,500 Payout Cap (3%): the maximum amount that can be paid out in a single day.
Moving to a Live Funded Account
One Step Daily accounts are moved to a Live funded account after 4 payouts or $10,000 total paid out, whichever comes first. Your buffer is transferred to your live account once eligible.
